No bottles!

I may be the last one, but finally no bottles! I tried I don't know how many sippys / straw cups! The NUK soft nipple was the one he took to and actually drinks the whole thing, instead of three drinks and throws it down. He was throwing a fit for a bottle for naps and bed time but no more!! Yay! If anyone else is having this issue try the NUK sippy!

congrats~!! We are still using bottles for bedtime and some naps, not because she won't use cups but because its the only way I can put her to sleep ... well I mean of course I could try harder...

I'd try to put him with a sippy and he's fight me and scream, or if he could see a bottle sitting somewhere he'd point and say "dat!!!" Lol today both naps he's just laid down with a sippy and went to sleep. Here's what worked for him (pic) ..

He used to drink from straw cups really well but for some reason he kinda quit. Now he wants my cup a lot. When I don't mind a mess I let him have some water in an open cup. As long as it's a couple sips he does pretty well.

Good to know! We're still in the bottles-for-bedtime category too, but are hoping to sleep train/transition to only sippy cups this week. I'll have to pick some of those up for M.

Last night was night #2 of no bed time bottle...she has done great so far! Hoping it stays that way!

I hope they work for you @CCM82909‌! I'm surprised it went so well this time.

I was at the dr office and another mom and I started talking about it. She showed me the NUK she had and said how easy it was for her.. I'm thankful I tried it!

congrats!! We are still struggling with this. Credcat and I basically have the same child. She likes to be cuddled to sleep (which now mainly involves hand holding), she likes her bottles at night. She does not tolerate milk in any other format. We've been chipping away at her resolve, so hopefully that last point changes soon.

Odd thing, she also doesn't really like juice, watered down or otherwise. We are trying to make sure she gets calories anyway, anyhow, since she has been sick and losing weight..and she just doesn't dig it. Milk goes in bottles, water and smoothies go in sippy cups and nothing else in the world will do.

we have a bottle at bedtime and the Dr said on Tues that she's OK with it until 18 mo and I may try and see what she does with a sippy at night but I feel that 15 mo is still so little and Im not rushing her to grow up...myabe its a little selfishness too

@Chickie79 We actually don't move until the 21st, but I'm taking the opportunity to do it now since DH doesn't have another exam until Monday. He usually has them Mondays/Fridays or more often, so having this much time inbetween is a rare opportunity that I have to take advantage of. I'll have to let you know when we finally move in!

I love the tommy tippee sippys. They are truely the only non spill, no leak cups. They have three stages and we use all three. I like the handled ones the best because DD can use it one handed. The others require her to hug the cup, which she can do, she just has to put down whatever is in her hands to do it.

We have six cups that we rotate through at home.
