  • I made a cake last week and have been eating the other half of the frosting periodically through the day. I also got asked for my id to go into a sex shop tonight because I'm 4'11. Needless to say I didn't have it but my friend who was the one shopping had hers. This is my life.
  • I smoked yesterday :-( it was a verrrry stressful day. A colleague of mine killed his wife then committed suicide after being fired day before yesterday. I'm helping run his site now on top of my own and have to be able to listen to his employees that need to talk or get them the help they need. Thinking about their poor children just got to me.
    Omg. So sorry...
That poor family! I don't blame you, I probably would've wanted to do the same!
And they have kids too? Those poor babies.

Wow that's terrible! I also had a former coworker kill his girlfriend and then himself during a drunken argument (but I hadn't worked with him in a few years). At least they didn't have young kids though but still sad. Sorry you're dealing with that.

My FFFC is I secretly judge my friend for her bad decisions and have been avoiding talking to her as much as I normally do. Normally it wouldn't bother me since it's her life but she constantly complains and expects people to feel bad for her. I do not feel bad for someone who had other options and chose differently. Sorry, you made your bed now lay in it.

Background in case anyone is interested in a little dysfunction. She left her boyfriend for a coworker who had money. They dated a while and he cheated on her by finding someone on eharmony. They broke up for a couple months and then got back together. They move in together and he is a complete asshole (controlling and verbally/mentally abusive). She marries him anyway because she wants to get married so badly she doesn't care to who. They have one child and he immediately pressures her for another even though he does not bother with the one they have. She hates him because he's such a dick and says they'll likely be divorced in a few years but is banking on alimony and CS. One year later she's pregnant and lies to everyone (including me) that it was an accident. She has no family/friends near where they live so she'll have 2u2 with no help and a husband that can't be bothered. She complains to anyone who will listen but then tells them it's her life. Sorrynotsorry you make terrible decision after terrible decision.

  • I'm still wearing some of my maternity tops. The ones that are stretchy but not obviously maternity. Stupid stomach fat.

I don't have a single pair of non maternity pants that fit (with the exception of those with an elastic waistband).
This is me too. I caved and bought a new pair of "fat" jeans last month and they don't fit!

DS spit up on my jeans this morning while I was already late for work. I wiped it up and went on my way, even though there is now a stain in the inside seam of my jeans...

  • I'm using tv way too much as a babysitter for my 2.5 yo. It's the only way I'll get a break from trains and damn Legos ....hate Legos!
Stepping on those bad boys with LO in arms hurts like a ..
  • Henry is three months old and has yet to nap in his crib. It's swing, lounger, car seat or on me. I need to get with the program.

Logan is feeling sick and I'm worried about him since he can't seem to tell me what's wrong but he keeps bursting into tears. It's breaking my heart but also making me happy to be snuggled on the couch watching the Lorax, bumping and nursing Henry

I feel your pain. She has slept in the crib for a total of 4 hours since birth.

Yup, we've had one nap in the crib to date. I AW'd that shit up even sending DH a pic of the video monitor showing LO sleeping.... And then haven't even tried again. It's a lot more effort than letting him fall asleep in his swing.
  • @boothbaby I understand what you're saying but it's also nice to shake things up and get away from the monotony of the board.  Sometimes I'd rather read about people's dumb ass opinions than another post on baby sleep or someone bragging about fitting into their prepregnancy clothes and exercising all the time.

And YES, I have posted on both those things - but since my kid sleeps like crap and I'm still wearing maternity clothes, I don't want to hear about the other side ;)

  • I Have never had Avery take a nap in her crib either. She is good about napping just usually in her swing. Bedtime is fine in her crib though. She usually goes to sleep with in 5 mins of laying down and getting comfy
  • I'm secretly a little sad that DD will only sleep on my mom/my MIL -- she won't fall asleep on me.  She thinks it's tummy time or time to eat whenever I try, no matter how sleepy she is.

  • This morning C woke up at 4:45am to eat. She had been asleep since 8pm. While I'm grateful she slept through the night, my boobs were so engorged. I was so happy she was finally awake. I fed her on my right side and she was close to falling asleep, but my left was still engorged so I switched sides hoping she'd give a little relief. She ate for a minute or two then I went to burp her. She spit up so bad. It soaked through my clothes, through her blanket, all down the rocker, and drenched my hair. I felt terrible that I was trying to get her to eat more just so I didn't have to pump and then this happened. I cleaned her up and got her back to bed, cleaned the rocker, but I just stripped down to skivvies and went back to bed crusty milk hair and all. I got another 45 minutes of sleep then got up to shower and go to work. It was gross, but worth the extra 45 minutes of sleep.

I roll my eyes a lot when people on this board get so worked up over things posted in the UO and FFFC threads. The whole point of those threads is to post some incendiary shit, and then we act all surprised when someone says something dumb/unpopular. Fine, state your opposing opinion, but no need to take it personally and drag it out for 8 pages. Just put them on your post-it and move on.

    No fun in that

  • @hswan91011‌ so sorry about your coworker. His poor children...
@MrsP821‌ I always bring K to daycare in his PJs...he goes to my aunt for daycare and he's sleeping when he we leave so I just pack clothes for him
My FFFC is that I was secretly enjoying one of the kids I teach being out for the past week...until he came back today and I saw just how sick he has been and then felt terrible for hoping he'd be out again for my sake.
  • Sometimes I want to quit breastfeeding just so I don't have to pump twice a day. (Both sides at 10:30 pm to get me through the night, and one side at 8:15 am before I get Lauren up for the day.)

Wait, you wake your baby? I wake Anja up for OT on Thursdays and she has a damn fit lol. Like, hysterically crying kind of break down.
At that point, she's already been asleep for over 12 hours. She wakes smiling every time!

    You have my sorries!

Calm down, guys. I was just impressed that @JillSandm can wake her baby without baby having a meltdown. I don't really care if people wake their babies up lol. Anja sleeps about 12 hours too...except I can't get her to sleep until 2am. I have started her routine at 8pm and she will take a 20 minute nap then wake up for 4 hours before going down for the night. I realize 12 hours is nothing to complain about except I only get 5 because of my schedule and hers lol.

Ugh! I don't know how I'd survive if I had a life outside of my home. I love to sleep, and I fiercely protect our schedule. I am so lucky to have had three kids who are happy to go along with my preferences.

Andplusalso, along with my sorries you get all.the.wine!

  • I'm wearing leggings as pants. And no my shirt is not long enough to cover my ass. But I don't fit in my prepregnancy clothes and gave my mat jeans to my sister. I didn't want to wear my pjs to the pedi this morning.
hahah this was going to be my other confession! I wear them as pants all the time. I will add another---I think I look good in them. Don't get me wrong, I am not loving my body right now. My belly/waist area is a hot mess--hence the stretchy leggings. But my butt looks good, ok???

Leggings are practically dressing up for me! I wear them out all the time. And with a long looser shirt my stomach is hidden but my butt looks good!

  • I wear leggings as pants all the time and I can't even use having a baby as an excuse because I did it before I was even pregnant. Im lazy and they are comfy.

My FFFC..I know that tanning causes cancer and is horrible for you, but I miss being tan so much. It makes me feel way better about how I look and I really wanna start going again (I havent gone in almost two years).

oh my gosh, I'm so sorry that's terrible! :(  I'm dealing with a tragedy at work today too, some days are just hard! :(

I get Charlotte up during the week to take her to daycare. If I let her sleep, it'll be 8:30-9:00 before she wakes up some days. I need to be at work by 7:30. On the weekends I don't wake her up.
I have to wake K up in the mornings too.  On days she stays home with DH I'm able to just nurse her & put her back to sleep, but on the days she stays with grandparents I nurse & take her to their house then lay her down there before I leave.
  • @hswan91011‌ I'm so sorry for you, those children, and that women. May peace be with her.

I guess this will be my FFFC I've known two different men who have murdered their wives then committed suicide. One left children behind the other, thankfully not. I don't get why they had to take their wives. If you're going to kill yourself you're hurting others enough, don't kill someone else in the process. I know it's a psychological thing but it's fucked up.
  • I have another one because it just happened... When Vincent spits up I let the dogs lick it up. That shit is like crack to them. *Insert Jimmy Fallons voice* Ew

Omg ! Lol just make sure there not see through . There are women in my area that walk around in them all the time and when the sun hits there ass it like they are not wearing pants ! You see everything and most of the time they are wearing granny panties , which I guess that's a good thing since you can see right through them !
