  We had 1 for K last summer for the lake (and boat and what not) he HATED it. Like it was nightmare getting him on the boat just because of that darn lifejacket.

  I am unsure what we will do for the pool this year, but I know we will have to do another lifejacket for the boat again. Hopefully he won't be as psycho about it this year.

  I am thinking about one of the ones that is sewn into the suit just because it seems more comfortable, but I'm not sure yet.

  Thanks everyone! The puddle jumpers and the built ins look very uncomfortable to me but I see kids running (on the pool deck!!) In them all the time. I think we will opt for the traditional style... Though none of you witness my crazy in person, I assure you...I have zero sense of security where eleanor is concerned, a life jacket won't change my hovering

  My niece used to have something similar to this, when she was a toddler. My parents had a pool and we all used to spend a lot of time on the deck near the pool. One day, when we weren't looking, she decided to jump in the pool, head first. She could swim a little, but we always felt safer when she was wearing this. I still feel a bit nauseous when I recall how she got stuck under water, with her little feet kicking like mad in the air, unable to turn herself right side up. My sister jumped in the pool and helped her out in a few seconds but it felt like forever. Don't get this.
