I have no clue....I haven't owed in years so it's nice to get some back but we'll probably put it towards something for the kids. Lol everything always usually ends up towards the kids.
I like getting money back, but not too much. We'll put it towards student loans - DH graduated from pharmacy school two years ago so we are busting our butts to pay it off with the 6.5% interest rate on it.
I haven't finished our taxes yet which I need to do this week!!!!! I'm not sure if we will have to pay or not. If we get any back, we will put it in an investment account for our little man.
Technically I broke even from what I got back in federal and what I owe in state, but I am using my federal return to visit DH on his deployment. I think it's well worth it! I was 11 weeks when he left, and I'll be ready to pop when he comes home. at least he'll get an int-person view of my intermediate size
We put $1,000 into our emergency fund, $1,500 into my unpaid maternity leave fund, $70 for tickets to take DS to the Ringling Brothers Circus since we're not doing a family vacation this year & gave to our church.
I've been dreaming of the beach for 2 years & I really really hope we get to go this year. Even if just for a long weekend.
We filed early and got a nice amount back. It went right into savings that we are trying to build back up after selling my house at a loss and buying another house.
I have pretty much paid in every year, but we are hoping this year we get some back. We will see...dragging our feet on filing since we are trying to find a new tax person. If we do get a refund, we will be using it towards baby stuff and saving the rest.
We got back more than I expected this year because I increased my witholding amount, knowing that we were moving up a tax bracket this year. All of our return immediately went toward paying off debt, which is a huge load off now. Not exciting, but pretty responsible ifidosaysomyself
We didn't get a ton back.. what we did, we hoped to use for a little weekend getaway, but as we were planning it, our water heater shit the bed and had to be replaced immediately. And then my car needed repairs which sucked up the rest. Ahhhhh, responsibility.
Some to go to baby things, pay off our line of credit, put some towards our mortgage and the remaining bit to fuel my husband's ninja turtle collection obsession lol
Well, first the windshield cracked, then there was a problem with the back fender of the car.... we're planning on using a chunk to get my annulment from my previous marriage (nearly a grand? F U Catholic Church, so happy I'm not "welcome" there anymore) since my SO really wants that squared away (I'm obviously divorced, but the annulment is still in limbo). We used the rest to pay off a tuition bill so that my other half could actually graduate (he was done, but couldn't walk until the bill was paid). Yippee-skippee.
