Not sure if this is unpopular, but I am officially done reading or responding to intros. I end up liking people and they disappear. I think it's such a waste of time to wait the 3 day waiting period just to post for a day and never come back.

I agree, but it is also strange when they start posting sometimes, because then I'm thinking 'who the heck is that?' I say skip the intro, lurk, and jump in, but without an attitude.

Agree. I never read intros anyway. I forget who you are by the time you post.

Damn, I really want to do my part, but I can't ever think of something UO that is really, legitimately controversial. This is a mixed bag of stuff I hope something works.
1.) I hate the Eagles, U2 and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Like a lot.
2.) I don't understand how pro sports enthusiasts can be ubber fans of more than one sport. I used to be a HUGE basketball fan, and I was truly exhausted by the end of the playoffs (my team sucked too much to make the finals,) and happy to get my life back.
3.) I'm not saying everyone should feel this way, but I honestly want to put our oldest cat down and there is not a real medical reason. He is like 19 years old. We got him when he was 11 and he has no teeth (they were removed at 12 because he had massive dental issues from being a stray cat for several years before he was picked up by animal control and we adopted him.) He has shit outside of his litter box for going on 5 years despite the fact we have bough him 2 new giant ones, tried different litters, scoop it multiple times per day, we did a bunch of medical test (that was spendy,) and at the end of it the vet said it is behavioral, etc. He is a total curmudgeon. Oh, I forgot to mention the puke. He pukes everyday, did a bunch of tests for that too - vet thinks it must just be that he eats too fast because he doesn't have any pesky teeth to chew food. Don't get me wrong, I love him... but this doesn't seem to be a very dignified end of life for what once was a very dignified cat. And I am sick of stressing about whether or not my kids are playing near cat poop or puke. (This is more like a FFFC, but I'm sure someone will have an opinion on me wanting to put my "perfectly healthy" cat down.)
They say that the buckle only gets stuck because food/drink gets dried in there. The infant carriers aren't included because they shouldn't be having food/drink in their seat, therefore the buckle shouldn't get stuck. Also because there are two ways to get your child out of the seat- the buckle, or taking the whole seat out. They are only thinking about in case of an accident. What about if your infant is choking in the seat? We have the infant seat and the buckles get stuck all the time. I've seen numerous other reports that others are having the same issues with the buckles.
@bellaoso Can you rehome him? My ILs picked up a cat off Freecycle that was expected to "live out" her life as a barn cat. She was a freaking himalayan. NOT a barn cat. She also had no claws. They told ILs she should die soon. She lived another 4 years. They had to put her down recently because she wasn't going the bathroom anymore. Her body was just shutting down. I know it's not "dignified" to live life puking and pooping everywhere, but if he's happy, why not let him live on? Maybe to someone who can give him a whole lotta love for the rest of his life?

Oh wow. Yeah, that doesn't make sense why they haven't recalled the infant ones. Not very smart on their part.. At all

I don't think that that song makes her not-classy. Miley Cyrus? Now that's trashy.
A woman wanting to be kinky with her man in the back of a limo? Not trasy in my book. Hot. Yes, hot in my book
@BlondieBia21 If you email Graco, they will probably replace your buckle. I have an Evenflo that was not recalled and they replaced it for me.
Thanks, I know and already have. We aren't even using the seat anymore since we got our convertible. It just makes me mad because I feel like they're not taking the responsibility they should.

I would never rehome a 19 year old cat. That is just wrong. We made the commitment, he is our responsibility.
When we adopted him from the shelter many years ago it was because a friend told us about him and how he had been at the shelter for almost 2 years because no one wanted to pay for his teeth to be removed and his medications and no one wants an old cat.. We did/do all that.
I know you probably weren't trying to imply he is unloved, but you did with the "Maybe to someone who can give him a whole lotta love for the rest of his life?" Yep. We were those people. Now he is a shitting, puking mess. He is still loved, but he also is disgusting and a mess and he himself seems somewhat miserable about the whole thing.
I hate when people think bigger or more always =s better. For example bigger mcmansion house, huge SUVs, 2+ vechicles/couple. People who are overly into all that in my opinion are greedy, materialistic and never satisfied with what they do have. Environmental impact is awful, especially if more people acted that way. No one cares or is impressed. Rant over.

I have not decided what to do about it yet.
I'm not particularly for rehoming in general, but maybe where it's not great for the girls to be around the poop/puke, it was just an idea. I agree, if you took him on, he's your responsibility. I should have been more clear. Is there anyone close to you that has already been around the cat that would be free to take him and not mind the messes? And I'm sure you don't even really mind the messes. I'm just sure you have a lot on your plate with the girls and the horses too.
I definitely wasn't trying to imply you don't love him. I'm sure you love him to pieces; that's why you are even talking about do this and trying to find a better solution for him. What I meant was to be able to find him a home that will love him a lot, as much as you do/would. Of course you wouldn't rehome him to someone who could give two shits about him, but just saying maybe someone who is alone or can give him a TON of attention for the short time he has left.
It's never an easy decision when an animal is a part of your family, which this cat obviously is. And I'm sure your heart knows the right thing to do. It was just an idea. I hope you can get through this with as little pain and heavy-heartedness as possible.
eta: @bellaosa I know you are a seriously genuine person and I didn't mean to debate with you over your cat that I don't even know. I just always have a sour taste in my mouth when people discuss putting down animals if they are doing "okay". Which obviously if I saw your cat, at 19 (which was an oversight on the first reply), I'd probably side with you on putting him down humanely because he's probably not "okay" if he's puking because he can't chew. Again, I'm sorry you have to make this decision. Much love.

I just don't think Beyonce singing a song about giving Jay Z head in the back of a limo and him cumming on her dress as being classy. IMHO. And I agree, Miley Cyrus is trashy.

As she has stated previously, in all her songs she is referring to her HUSBAND. There is nothing wrong with getting all "Monica Lewinski" for my husband. Haters are gonna hate and the queen B will still reign (and make millions), while I continue to boogie to all her songs
*white knighting for Beyonce and I don't give a fuck!*

Believe me, I am ALL for getting it on, but to sing about it in a semi-graphic way? Not my cup of tea.

So because a married couple owns more than 2 vehicles and own a large mansion their greedy?
I think using the term "greedy" is over dramatic. Maybe you are totally fine with one vehicle for your home. If someone works hard for the "bigger" things who am I to judge? I think people who judge someone else's successes (being able to afford the "bigger" things) and decisions are jealous.

Maybe not. Which is totally cool. I'm just like her #1 fan so I have to come to the rescue
i'm no longer shocked by miley cyrus. The only thing left that she could possibly do to shock me is to act like a normal sane human being. I do think she is talented but wasting her talent on trying to be a 'shock rocker'

Agree with @CaliforniaDream87 here. Many of these "greedy" people keep our small business going as we build their second/vacation homes.
I do, however, judge those who overextend themselves.

Sounds to me like you're a bit jealous. Some people CAN afford that way of life. You also don't know why people have more than two vehicles/couple. Maybe they need an extra truck because they do side work helping build homeless people homes and don't want to scratch up their nice cars. Once again, you don't know.
I'm pretty impressed by fancy cars and big houses, so I must be greedy and not satisfied with what I have…… Hhhmmm.
