Merry Tuesday Ladies!

This check-in is not necessarily exercise-related.  I know a lot of us are trying to eat healthier and give up bad habits thanks to the motivation of pregnancy/new baby, so any kind of getting heathy is welcome here!

What did you do last week?

What are your plans for this week?

What's your long-term/mid-term goal?

GTKY: Do you get sick often?  Has this changed since LO came along?

And the leader board for participation!!

Vying for first place with nine weeks under their belts:
@kdc2007 - I hope your weight-in with your trainer went well!
@NicoleReed0324 - I don't think I could ever diet without cheat days!   Good luck giving up all your desserts!
@phishgirl29 - Diet is half the battle!  Hope things settle down soon so you can make it back to the gym!
@Pitchslap - With friends visiting I hope you still make it to the gym!
@tiffletons518 - So close to your goal - I'm super impressed!

With 4 weeks in a row under her belt - @calikat80 - Marathon training definitely sounds like kicking it up a notch!

@ItsStackie with 2 weeks back- A half marathon is so exciting!  That's an awesome goal!

And a very warm welcome to @LBeez13 - Good luck with your move and eating healthy with all the chaos that comes with moving!

  • You forgot me :(  Or actually, I think you mixed me up with @tttwalters

Last week- Not much honestly. The plague continued to take over my house.

This week- A little better. We hit 50 yesterday so I got an outdoor run in. Felt ahhmazing.

Goal- I'm now 1lb away from prebaby weight. Woot. So, 11lbs to go! Either way, I got back into my jeans which makes me pretty happy :)

QOTW- I get sinus infections pretty frequently. It's not fun. My oldest is just like me. DD2 isn't usually too bad. And, DS... has already been on antibiotics twice. Being sick with sick littles is super tough. And, lately I've been sick with at least 2 sick littles. It's hard to take care of them when you feel like crap too.

Sorry!!!  You two are next to each other on my spreadsheet and that's all the excuse I have.  I'll try to be better next week!  @tttwalters didn't even check-in last week ...

  • What did you do last week? last week was just overall shitty.
I got a few treadmill runs in and got outside. The weather became nice on Saturday so I have logged a lot of miles in the last few days.

What are your plans for this week?
taking advantage of the nice weather and running lots. Despite my carpel tunnel I am going to try and do some modified yoga, I miss it so much.
    What's your long-term/mid-term goal?
I have changed my mind and now want to try for a sub 2 hour half marathon in May. I have been working a lot on speed and hills so I want to try and continue to focus on speed work.
GTKY: Do you get sick often?  Has this changed since LO came along?
I do not often get sick, maybe a little cold in the winter but that is about it.

  • Last week: soccer game and walked the block at least three times. Doing well getting veggies in my diet, now that I give them to LO.
This week: Already walked/jogged some this evening, and printed out a possibly plan for the half marathon.
    Goal: Half marathon in Nov.
GTKY: I get sick usually when the season first change. 2-3 times a year. It seems like my sickness hasn't been as bad since LO, or at least don't last as long.

  • @musicalsilver‌ You always make me feel special with the personalized shout outs, no worries :)
  • Last week: I got some treadmill runs in, and a few lifting days! I feel really good. I am doing a lot better with the chocolates... But I have been sneaking some still :)

This week: I hope to get in 5 days of workouts! I went for a long walk/run outside with baby today! 1.5 hours.(It was mostly walking) I love love loved being outside! It was over 60 degrees... and snow is coming tomorrow BOOOO

Goal: Healthy and fit in 2014.. no numbers goal really... just feel good in my clothes!

GTKY: I used to get sick a couple of times a year. Since MJ was born I have only been mildly sick once! I don't know if it is because I have been eating healthier or not!
  • Sorry I'm late! None of the three boys took a nap yesterday, so my workout was banging my head on the wall. Haha.

Last week: I was able to run 3 times and make sure I walked every day at least 2 miles. Unfortunately my sciatica has popped up in a bad way. It's the worst it has been in 3 years. Getting to the chiro this weekend.

This week: I was able to use the elliptical at the gym (thank you drop in daycare!) on backwards at a high resistance which is my goto for alleviating some of the pain. It's seems to pull and tighten my sacrum into place. Either way I am patting myself on the back because it kills so working out is rough. I am avoiding other exercise until I can get back in alignment. But my diet has been great and I have been sticking with my Lenten no snacks after dinner!

Goal: marathon in November, but since ramping up the mileage has already flared my problem I am doubtful my leg and hip will hold out past 10 miles. Anyone want to buy a NYC marathon bib?

I have a steel immune system. My sons are the same way. Neither of my boys have ever been sick except when G was 14 months and started daycare he was sick for a month on and off. I feel incredibly blessed but also attribute part of it to making a point of working out, getting fresh air and eating well.

  • Last week: I went swimming! Oh it felt good getting in the water and swimming laps!

This week: I plan to swim again this weekend.

    Goal: tone up!

QOTW: I used to NEVER get sick. I've been sick twice with colds thanks to LO but luckily (knock on wood) he's been healthy so far!

  • I'm way late too but here I am!!

What did you do last week? I worked out 4 times!

What are your plans for this week? Make it to the gym 4 times and focus on getting more veggies in

What's your long-term/mid-term goal?I want to get in better shape and lose about 10 more pounds. As long as I am getting more toned I don't care about the weight but I figure both will come together.

GTKY: Do you get sick often?  Has this changed since LO came along? I don't get sick often and I haven't been sick much since LO. Once in Oct my husband and I both got a stomach bug and we were taking turns throwing up. That was definitely the most difficult couple days with both of us sick and a fussy baby.
