When I was younger (pre-teen, teen, early 20s) I hated that I could not wear the same things as my friends without receiving judgement because I had big boobs and they didn't.

Ugh all you big boob braggers. I didn't get boobs till I was 22!

I didn't until I had DS. I was a Bish and jumped to a D. You know what? I flaunted those babies! I was made fun of for small boobs as a tween/teen and then I had these glorious boobs. I didn't get permission from DH, heck he loved it.
Creepers are gonna be creepy no matter how you dress.

  • Growing up, the mindset was that a deep tan was beautiful. Skimpy suits achieve that with minimal tan lines. It wasn't about male attention at the beach, it was about worshipping the sun. The dangers there might be enough to help DD make good choices. I hope.

  • Speaking of big boobs. I've always been an B-sometimes A if crazy fit.

I got fitted on Monday and am now a DD thanks to LOs. This feels crazy big to me.

Spent $80 a bra which seems insane to me but they put those suckers back where they are supposed to be.

Anyway, I tried to do the elbow thing and nope. I'm hoping they will go back to Bish.

  • One of the reasons I'm glad that we're almost done nursing is that I can't wait to wear a push up bra again.

    Can I summarize?

    1. No one here thinks that babies and toddlers are wearing bikinis to look sexy.  No one here thinks that the parents that put their babies/ toddlers in bikinis are trying to make their kids look sexy.

    2. Some people think bikinis are immodest.  Most of us do not.

    3. Everyone loves sunscreen.

    4. Everyone thinks that adults that find children sexy are creeps.

    5. Some of us think that "skanks" can be identified by their manner of dress.  Most of us do not.

    6. Some of us had big boobs as a young child.  Some of us are still waiting on our boobs.

    What am I missing?

Some people don't think preteens should try to look sexy. I think that covers it.
I honestly don't think anyone that posted in this thread thinks preteens should try to look sexy, not just some.

  • Wait - can someone explain the touching your elbows behind your back thing?

  • I think it's a way to make someone try doing that and then their boobs stick out I guess? Not sure. @je+suis=fatiguee‌

  • @Studyinpink - it's because of the speshul characters in my user name. Or the BGs hate me and think I suck. (Probably the latter, tbh).

It's a "trick" to get someone to stick out their boobs.
    I hate you all. lol

  • She wore that to perform. Not to church.

I don't understand how calling someone a skank based on their clothes is ok. Taylor Swift has serial dated guys but is "wholesome' because she doesn't have her tits out and Miley had a long term boyfriend but was a skank because she dressed scantily. Seems legit.

I don't think Miley is skanky and say go on with her awesome self I also don't see anything wrong with serial dating at that young age. I know that's not what you are saying, but wanted to say that.

I am team wear what makes you feel great.

Huh. The thread I read mocked a poster who wanted her kids to be modest and was full of "wear whatever you makes you feel good and fuck anyone who has a problem with it." I didn't see an age limit attached to that.
Where was someone mocked for wanting their kids to be modest?  As far as "wear whatever makes you feel good and fuck anyone who has a problem with it"  unless there are 11 year old girls posting on this site that we aren't aware of, it's safe to assume Im communicating with grown women.

FTR I wasn't into girlie girl until my senior year.  People assuming you are a lesbian because you'd rather wear jeans and t-shirts is just as infuriating as people assuming you're a slut because you'd rather be in a short skirt and a tank top.
  • I think most of them are cute, but there is something.....odd? about a baby wearing one that has a bra-like top....not wrong or anything, just odd. I can't really explain it.

Joining this conversation very late. I'm actually not a fan of triangle tops on babies. I just think they look really silly. They're designed to show off the boobs more than any other kind of bikini top. The cut is really meant to make boobs look hot. Babies have nothing to put in there, so they just look odd. Other than that, I'm Team Skin Cancer Sucks. We buy rash guard tops to protect her pasty white skin.
posted before I read this, that's exactly why it seems odd to me.

As to the bolded - nope.  She was mocked for defining women who show more skin than they would want their husband or their doctor to touch (her words) skanks.  Oh, and there was also the whole, "they know what they are doing," aspect regarding women who don't dress according to her definition of modesty.

ETA: Oh, the poor poster who was mocked for wanting her children to dress modestly also said, "It used to be all about women covering up because men are "wired differently" and can't be accountable for their actions.  Now its let women dress however the hell they want and men need to carry all the responsibility for what they think. "

As if women should somehow bear responsibility for the thoughts and actions of men they don't know.
