I am just so overwhelmed. I am pumping every 2hrs to increase my supply and supplementing with formula.
Eli lost over a pound from his birth weight (he was 9lb 1oz) and has only gained 2oz back in a week. I met with the LC and just cried because he nursed constantly and wasn't gaining. Turns out he is tongue tied. At Friday's pedi appt we decided to have his tongue clipped to improve his latch and overall feeding. I just cried while they did it. His feeding has improved but my supply is taking it's sweet time catching up to demand.
DS(5) is acting out in school, tried to stab a kid with a pencil, threw a large magnet while having a tantrum and cracked the window. We got a call yesterday that physical restraint had to be used because he attempted to run into the street (they grabbed his hand and walked him firmly and quickly back inside). DH currently is sitting on the floor with him in a basket hold (and DS is screaming) so he won't hurt himself or anyone else because he was just throwing a chair and attempting to push over the RnP with the baby in it. I realize this is a HUGE adjustment for him as well and he doesn't know how to handle these emotions. I am just at the end of my rope.
*DS has behavioral issues from drug exposure and severe neglect from bio mom until the age of 2.5.
I am also recovering from a c-section and can only do so much. I feel helpless and as though I am not doing what needs to be done for either of my boys. PP hormones and sleep deprivation do not help at all. To add insult I also have baby vomit, both formula and breast milk variety, baby pee, and dried sweat from my night sweats going on.
No real point to this, just wanting to get it out.

DS1 does have a behavioral therapist and we have been working with her closely to try and prepare him for the new baby and have contacted her to work on issues now that baby is here. He also has a very thorough IEP with school that also addresses behavioral issues.
These last few days have just been rough, but eventually we'll survive it.

DS1 had a tongue tie that we had clipped when he was 9 days old. That helped a lot but it took awhile to get my supply up after that. Don't be too hard on yourself over supply as that will only make it worse. Give yourself time.
I'm sorry to hear that the transition is so tough for DS1. T&P's that things get easier soon.
