Seriously? Weird spotting

OK, so went for BW and US on 3/4 - supposed to be baseline but RE thought I was getting ready to O, confirmed by BW. Bloated and had some crampy pain (? from O?) Thurs night. Plan was to just go natural for this cycle and then see what happens. Mon night I started having some spotting. Off and on yesterday. Varies from brown to bright red. Not a full flow but sometimes a little, sometimes more. I keep thinking it's picking up and then it doesn't. I have not had AF since I gave birth, weaned about a month ago. Yesterday I talked to the nurse who said just go ahead with the Prometrium for 10 days unless it becomes a full flow then stop the meds and call. Otherwise I have a Beta on 3/24. 
So I know that since it's not full flow just to keep going. But seriously, I don't get it? It would be too early for implantation bleeding and too early for AF unless I have some sort of ridiculously short LP. What the heck is going on with me? I hate hate hate IF and hate hate hate my dysfunctional rebellious non cooperative body right about now! 
Oh, and to top it off Alexa is still in some stupid sleep regression and I spent Mon night in the ER with my mom (she's OK now). 
Would you just wait it out till the 24th? I don't want to call my RE every day - plus my nurse works 4-10hr shifts and today's her day off so I would be talking to someone covering for her.

IUI #1 Sept 2012 BFN
IUI #1 Oct 2012 (10/11/12) BFP!
Beta #1 10/26 313

3 follies right (largest 18), 1 left (11.8). Lining 7.16
starting Estrace 4/16, trigger 4/16 with IUI likely 4/18

    Yikes. I know it's frustrating. But our bodies act really weird after a baby, especially if you haven't had your first PP cycle yet. I would say just hang in there. Wait and see what happens. And GL!

    I had insurance coverage for mine and don't know the answer, but how expensive is Prometrium? If it is pricey and you don't want to potentially waste any, I'd call. But, if you don't mind taking them, I'd wait.

    I started AF while BFing and had fairly normal cycles. But, when I weaned...holy hell. My cycles were nuts. I was having them every 21 days and would bleed/spot for 10 days. I even started taking OPKs to see if I was even ovulating (I was). That took about 5 months to work itself out and I now have my cycle every 26 days. It's still so weird and different. Postpartum periods are just messed up.

    It's super frustrating to wait for AF to get her stuff together- especially when TTC. Hope things get back on track ASAP!!!

    Boo to the frustrating week. I would wait it out and see what happens! GL

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    @Ruthie04 - my insurance covers it - I think it was only a $13 copay or something so I don't mind that. Still spotting today but not a lot. So who knows what the heck is happening - frustrating for sure. But thanks to all you ladies for the awesome support!
