Lucas Edward's Birth Story PIP

I'm on my phone so forgive the mess this may be!

Sooooooooo today was crazy and long!

It started last night after my crazy cleaning rampage. Pretty sure that's what kicked this into gear. About 10 last night I told DH I wasn't feeling well and my back hurt. It was a constant pain so I didn't think contractions. I took my sleep aid and got in bed. I had horrible stomach pains, but I pooped 4 times, hello sign, again didn't think contractions. Went to bed and slept about as well as I usually do. I did notice with every roll over it hurt my back.

I got up around 6 fed the cats and noticed the pain in my back was getting worse. By 8 I was having contractions every 3 to 4 minutes. We had an ultra sound scheduled so I called to see if they wanted us to just head to L&D instead, they did!

We got to the hospital and let me tell you, that was a fun 10 minute car ride! The contractions were bad, but honestly not horrible. I talked through most. The resident came in and checked, said I had bulging membranes and she looked at DH and said you're having a c section today she's an 8! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK??!? Knowing how far I made it I'm so upset we still had to have a section! I totally could have rocked the natural birth!

In a minute everything started to go super fast, I was back in the OR within 10 minutes! Got the spinal (NBD) and away they went! I do have to toot my own horn the OB said "if you didn't have such great abs this wouldn't be as hard!"

Lucas was born at 11:37 am screaming weighing in at 5lb 10oz 19 inches long! He nursed right away for 25 minutes! He spent the rest of the day getting his blood sugar checked (rocky at first but awesome now) he finally just nursed for 45 minutes like a little pro!

Thank you so much for all of your support these past 8 months and today! You all have no idea what it means! You don't feel like internet strangers, you truly feel like my friends! Love you all! I can't wait to love tit your squishy babies and share this thing called parenting with you all!!
