Yikes! What's the plan? Is breast milk ok for him or will he need to go on special formula?
We are seeing a pediatric nephrologist for DS in two weeks. He's missing a kidney. (I mean that to say you are not alone in scary surprising medical things with the babies).
@sugarland726 I don't know yet. The nurse told me that the ped wants to talk to genetics before making any decisions/plans yet. They are going to call me tomorrow.
You stop that Googling! Lots of thoughts & prayers for Brennon. Do lots of two armed snuggling tonight so you don't have a free hand to "research" with.
peanutmuse- Thinking of you and Brennon. I can understand how scary it is to get that news. My little guy's newborn screener and follow up screener showed a metabolic issue (3-MCC) that is inherited and can result in a build up of acids in the blood stream. We also needed to meet with a geneticist. They were able to answer all our questions though, so that was helpful and they helped us develop an emergency medical practice plan for daycare or if we were needed to take our son to the hospital. It can be so stressful not knowing what's going on and wondering if what you're seeing is normal, etc. If you need anything, please feel free to message me! I'm definitely not a pro in the area of genetics, but I would love to offer you support. Praying for you all!

I agree, it does sound benign. I now wish *I* hadn't wiki'd and he's not even my DS! Please keep us updated once you're able to see your Dr. and collect your thoughts.
In the meantime, I'm going to contact Wikipedia about some of the language used on that page. That's just wrong.
@peanutmuse - I believe you told me not too long ago to stay off google!! With all of the testing capabilities now I'm confident doctors could find something with each baby to worry us. I hope this will be nothing for you all buy try not to worry until there is something to worry about! That's was my H always says and I believe you said something along that line to me when I was worried about Landon's peepee!
I don't know anything about that, but I'll be thinking of you and Brennan And mr. Muse. Just remember we screen because we can do something about it, And we capture a lot of false positives in the process. Keep us updated.
Thinking of you. I know you must be scared. I hope you get better news than you might be expecting when you talk to the Dr. again. I'll be following you for updates.

Is this the test they did at the hospital? And you're just now finding out the results? I thought since DS is almost 2 months we were in the clear and no news was good news. Guess not
ETA: prayers that it's nothing serious and just a false positive!
