Ras26 birth story (Abigail Ruth arrived)

There really isn't much of a story, but Abigail Ruth arrived via scheduled c-section on 2/28, coming in at 7lbs 1oz and 18.5 inches at 39 weeks.

I had to be at the hospital at 6am for 8am surgery, and DD1's daycare doesn't open until 6:30, so I drove myself and DH got DD1 up and to daycare while I got checked in etc. He met me there in plenty of time. My dr was running late, so I walked into the OR at 8:09 and DD2 was out at 8:47. A resident did the epidural and had some troubles, but she got it right eventually.

It was a different experience from my vaginal delivery, but not necessarily bad. Abby stayed with me in recovery and figured out nursing right away. We think she's pretty awesome and so far is a much easier baby than DD1. Whew!
