Help!!! Baby cries when put in crib

Ariella used to go in her crib just fine, but for the past 3-4 nights it's an hour and a half struggle to get her to go to sleep.

She keeps crying every time we put her down in the crib. We pick her up and she still cries, then finally calms down, and the vicious circle starts all over again.

We didn't have this problem before. I can tell she's tired and fighting sleep and I just don't know what to do :-(

Is this the 3 month growth spurt? Anybody have any ideas for me? HELPPPPP

  • I don't have any advice but I hope it ends soon.

    This! Simon does this sometimes (often, lately), and he has been in the crib since day 1, so I really don't think it's the crib itself. Tonight we focused on getting him to bed earlier, and there was no crying! I'm hoping it wasn't a fluke! :)

    @hercules03‌ I tried reasoning with her ;-)

    We started putting her to bed earlier. Today was the earliest by far around 8... I gave her a bath, then bottle and she was falling asleep while eating. Took her upstairs, put her down and waterworks.

    ETA: hit post too soon

  • I'm sorry I have no advice but my niece is also named Ariella! Love it!
  • We've had a few random nights like this too so I feel for you! Usually it would just be a random night here or there but then there were 3 nights in a row like this right after shots...I wondered if her legs were sore. Otherwise I've always wondered what caused it too! :/

    I would try even earlier, it sounds like she is super tired! Tonight our LO was asleep by 7pm, I couldn't believe it (we had previously been doing around 8 or 9pm, and sometimes he would cry until 10 or later).

  • It's hard for us to put her down earlier because we only get home around 7/7:30.
