My daughter is 4 weeks old. We have been swaddling her and putting her in her bassinet. Usually if we put her in when she's asleep, she'll stay asleep for 1-1.5 hours. The past 2 nights she will not sleep in her bassinet for longer than 10 minutes. She's sound asleep when we put her in but then she wakes up crying. Needless to say, I am beyond exhausted! Between 4 and 6am, I have been taking her in bed with me because she'll sleep for 3-4 hours that way. Am I setting myself up to have difficulty with her sleeping in her crib later on or is she still too young? Thank you!
Re: Am I setting myself up for sleep difficulty later?
Honestly, at first it's all about survival. If you do what you can to be safe, and still get some semblance if sleep go for it. 4 weeks is still too young to create bad habits.
