my kid hates to sleep!

First and foremost, this has zero to do with the time change, LO has been sleeping like ass lately. He did great for a while but the past few weeks he has been screaming when we put him down for naps and has been waking up for 2-3 hr periods at night. We rock him, pat his back, shush him and nothing seems to calm him. Im running out of ideas of Wth is going on. He's always been a crap sleeper but never had tantrums. We would give him a bottle or replug the paci and that did it. Not anymore. CIO is not an option in our house. I'm lost.....

  • We're in the same boat here! I'm hoping it's just a sleep regression and we get through this soon. It's starting to take a toll on me.

  • I believe there is a 9 month sleep regression. Is he teething?

We used bits and pieces from the sleep lady shuffle and the no cry sleep solution. Ds wakes 1 to 2 times at night but that's better than the every 2 to 3 hours we were dealing with before.

My kid hates sleep too, so you're not alone

He's been teething on and off since two months. He's got 2 on bottom 3 almost 4 on top. I've read, not that everything you read is accurate, that sleep regressions are when kids have been consistently sleeping great. My son has seldomly been a great sleeper.

  • My kid loves to sleep....

....as long as he's on me, preferably with a boob in his mouth.

He's been a mess lately, and he was never great. If I only have to nurse him twice in a night, that's a victory. And that doesn't count the 2-5 additional times he wakes up and needs to be rocked a couple of minutes to go back to sleep.

Kudos for still nursing!! I applaud you.

I know this whole mess of lack of sleep will pass, but it's ridiculous when it's happening.
