Zulilly is killing my pocket book but I love it

Zulilly has some awesome stuff today including designer hospital gowns that are super affordable, I'm pretty excited so I though I'd share. I bought one then that lead to a couple new dresses and now I can't stop!

Re: Zulilly is killing my pocket book but I love it

  • Just be careful with this site. They markup a lot and you can find the exact thing elsewhere cheaper. I love to browse though.

    I love wooden toys
  • Loading the player...
  • The clothes seem affordable but the toys etc seem a bit pricey. The hospital gowns were 14.99 and they are 50 elsewhere, so I couldn't resist.

  • I do think they have some good deals. I got my oldest a Pea Coat last year for 20 that was 80 to start.

I just have seen a lot of rebranding and markups especially on stuff like cloth diapers (which someone else told me that)
  • I've gotten good deals there but most deals are offset by the shipping charge imo.

  • Be careful on clothes, too, because they don't allow returns so if you get something and it doesn't fit or it doesn't look great--well, you're stuck.

Well if you plan to shit yourself for your entire hospital stay you probably shouldn't get one. It feels nice to get changed a feel nice in pictures etc afterward.

Pooping yourself has an end point, but I bled for the length of my stay with DS. Do you know about some magical way to avoid post partum bleeding?

I'd much rather not worry about that laundry and if I want to change into something, I will use some of my own clothes that I can wear again after the hospital stay.

  • I recommend wearing a pad. Don't get so offended.

  • =)) You think that offends me?

If you want a change, you can use your own wardrobe. No reason to waste money on a one time use item.

Unless you plan on incorporating a designer hospital gown into your wardrobe once you bring baby home?

Designer hospital gowns are a hook for pregnant women.

I'm not trying to trash your post. I'm glad you're excited about it and hope you enjoy it. It's just NMS, but you posted and left it open for comment... And that's my opinion.

  • I couldn't wait to get out of the hospital gown and into my yoga pants. It held things together more and it made me feel more normal. But I guess $15 dollars is a good deal if you want to buy you own if you saw them for $50. Really who would pay $50 for a hospital gown!?!?

    Hyperbole is annoying.

I would have stopped posting had she not tried and failed at being insulting.

You might check how I post on other threads. If I were looking for someone to nag at, I would be picking fights left and right.

Are you done white knighting now?

  • The gowns aren't disposable. You can wash them and you can wear them AFTER you give birth, you know when people come to visit and you're taking pics. The last thing I wanted to wear afterwards was any type of pant. I still have my cute $15 hospital gown that I plan on wearing again this time for recovery. To each their own.
  • @angiebeth06 Seriously.. posting on boards seems to give ppl the same satisfaction road rage does... BLEH... no patience for this crap. Call me a white knight if you like... just giving you a little straight talk.... can dish it but not recieve huh? Go eat a cookie lol

No, its not the view points that irritating... its the delivery... if you can't take feedback without telling others to stop coming here.. maybe you should stop coming here...

I gave up, you cant fix stupid. Some people just need the attention of posting negative things. Not worth our time.

  • You're the one who posted an ironic thread and when someone disagreed, you got your panties in a twist. I stated my opinion, then you cursed at me.

You can't expect posters to let it slide when you post that your pocketbook is hurting from purchasing something frivolous and then get offended when they call you out on that logic.

Seems like when someone calls the cards, you're the one who gets upset but you project that anger on others.

Now you're just being rude @flyinmommy.

For the third time - congratulations for getting a good deal even if it something that is NMS and I personally disagree with. It's your prerogative to buy and wear whatever you want, and $15 is a better deal than $50.

@amandacaffrey, I mean this kindly. You might not want to get into internet battles with people having your username as your real name. If you think I'm not a nice person, you have NO idea how people can be on forums. There was some serious drama that went down on my last BMB when people had fewer details on a certain poster. They even ended up calling CPS on her. You might seriously reconsider if Amanda is your first name.
