  • Weeks/Fruit: 27/rutabaga

How are you feeling? Pretty good, tired and the heartburn sucks right now, but overall I can't complain.  I've had a cold all week that is starting to really piss me off.

Upcoming appointments?  Just had a check up on Thursday and everything went well.  I have my glucose test this Thursday morning.

Questions?  Have you guys done a hospital tour?  Have one planned/scheduled?  What do you plan to ask?

GTKY: What was your favorite children's book growing up?  What do you plan to read to LO?  We used to read Goodnight Moon every night and I had all the Beatrix Potter books.  I plan on reading lots of the classics to LO:  Goodnight Moon, Make Way for Ducklings, all the ones I had when I was a kid.

Doing this mobile so please excuse any terrible formatting.

Week/Fruit: 24 weeks / cantaloupe (yum, makes me crave some melone e prosciutto)

How are you feeling? Surprisingly good. I did get my first taste of lower extremity edema after working two twelve hour shifts in a row. Fun!

Upcoming Appointments: March 18 (was rescheduled from the 13th) to talk about pediatricians, L&D hospital visit, glucose results and probably get RhoGam shot (AB neg here).

Questions? If anyone can recommend a great book about breastfeeding I would love to start prepping.

GTKY: What do you plan to read to LO? Tons of Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein poems, all the AA Milne Pooh books, so many more! Can't wait for this aspect of parenting!
  • Weeks/Fruit: 24/cantaloupe

How are you feeling? Some sciatica pain regularly and sore ligaments. Otherwise no real complaints!

Upcoming appointments? On Monday 3/10 I have my 3hr glucose test. Friday 3/14 follow up u/s to get some better shots of LO's heart and profile.

Questions? Any tips for sciatic pain relief besides Tylenol? That stuff does nothing for me. :(

GTKY: What was your favorite children's book growing up? What do you plan to read to LO? The first one that comes to mind is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. I'm actually buying it for my god son's first bday but definitely plan to read it to LO as well!

  • Weeks/Fruit:  27w - Rutabaga

How are you feeling?   Despite everything, I'm feeling fine.  So I have to keep reminding myself that I need to take it easy and not do too much.

Upcoming appointments?  24 hour urine collection Monday to Tuesday, then follow up with my OB on Thursday.

Questions?   Will I end up pre-eclamptic? In my head, I'll have a RCS on May 30 (haven't even scheduled yet, but in my head, it's a great date) - will I make it?

GTKY: What was your favorite children's book growing up?  What do you plan to read to LO?  I loved books like Caps for Sale, Strega Nona, etc.  M has shown little interest in them, and I have discovered some amazing books since she was born.  One of my absolute favorites - absolute favorites - is Blueberry Girl.  A must for anyone with a daughter.

  • Also didn't post yesterday so here goes!

    Weeks/Fruit: 26 wks/ lettuce
    How are you feeling? HEARTBURN.
Upcoming appointments? Glucose test on Wednesday.  Not looking forward to the inevitable heartburn after the sugar drink.  Ugh.
    Questions? Not today!
GTKY: What was your favorite children's book growing up?  What do you plan to read to LO?
I loved many that have been mentioned.  Shel Silverstein, Seuss, Eric Carle, Tomie de Paola.  I just got The Day the Crayons Quit for my little bug and I LOVE it.  Also- Not a Box and Beautiful Oops are some of my newer favs (I'm an art teacher).

@internationalkate My friend gave me these two books because they worked well for her.  She struggled a lot with her first.  The Breastfeeding Book  and New Mother's Guide to Breastfeeding

@BeesTimesThree We did a hospital tour and I really enjoyed it.  I feel more comfortable knowing where to go, park, etc.  I didn't ask any questions but I might do another one (ours are free and we did it really early) if you think of anything to ask- let me know!

@BeesTimesThree we are going on our tour tmrw night.  Im always one to think of questions after the fact so if something comes up tmrw that I think could have been a good question going in ill let you know!
