My doc and I decided this morning that I would be induced on Monday. I'm excited to know when I'll meet LO, but I'm nervous about delivering. Last time the waiting and not knowing when it would happen was hard, but this might be worse? Or maybe it's because I know how painful labor and recovery can be? Eeek!
Eeek, indeed! But how exciting!
I was thinking about this just yesterday ('cuz I was having some contractions) and I think yours is indeed the tougher row to hoe. When you DON'T know when, you are very distracted by the not-knowing and are all caught up in the excitement. Knowing, all you can do is fret over it!
That said, though, I am sure you are going to do SUPER well and I will be thinking of you. Maybe thinking about what helped you get through labor last time will help you feel more in control now?
Today's my last day of work. Induction on Tuesday if she doesn't show up by then. :-/ I really really hope that I can get through it without an epidural if that's what it comes to. My platelets are low and the thought of pit with no epi makes me nervous.

Mom is supposed to be in the delivery room with us. She had a quick weekend trip planned for next weekend that has now turned into a week long trip starting tomorrow due to unforeseen circumstances. I have a feeling she's going to miss it. She think she is super mom and will somehow make it back in just time as long as I give her enough notice of when I go into labor. You know since I can predict just how fast or slow I'll progress. She'll need at least 4-5 hours to get back as long as everything goes perfect...meaning there is a flight to catch right away and no traffic anywhere.
I was disappointed at first but now hope it happens just to see her try to pull this grand plan off lol
Crazy my mom just decided to take a week long fishing trip about 5hrs away. She actually told me not to go into labor while she is gone. I am secretly hoping I do.. Is that super b!tchy?
I'm not angry just an emotional new mom. Mia's eyes started looking yellow so instead of waiting for her first pedi appointment i went ahead and called the dr. So we went and had ber bili levels drawn The doctor calls back and is like oh we need to put her on a light her levels are a little to high.
Thats cool, whatever she needs.
Then the pharmacy calls our insurance will not cover it. We have to pay out of pocket and it is expensive.
Meltdown starts.
Then i call my doctor back to tell him about that, he starts about how a two day old baby needs the light. Then i tell him she's 8 days old not two. Ohh then putting her in sunlight will be fine until our appointment next week.
He also told me it might be a hormones in my breast milk. So he wants me to continue to supplement a few feedings a day. Which i'm okay with.
It's Jade. My MIL sent it from New Zealand. The spiral means new beginnings
Yep! Nephrite jade (pounamu)! I have a very similar necklace and my H has a larger version. My H is first gen Australian but his entire family is in NZ. The necklaces were wedding presents from his granddad. The pic is of my H's.
As a foodie/master chef, do you have any kitchen essentials?
I'm looking at bday presents for MH and his newfound cooking addiction. I know he wants a good pepper mill (ours sucks). I was thinking a really nice wood chopping block? Is that a worthy investment?
I do prefer chopping on wood to plastic (HAAAAAATE glass), but does he have really nice knives? Those are essential for sure.

@TallAsh my hubs went to culinary school and loves all things foodie. A good chopping block is worth the investment but depending on how expensive you want to go, a great knife set is a good choice too!!
We have a decent santoku knife and paring knife (JA Henckle, I think), but does he need more than that? Maybe a regular chef's knife?
Whoops, missed this!
I have a santoku-style that I use in lieu of a regular chef's knife, but I have two sizes which I really like.
A nice serrated bread knife is great to have, too.

Got my morning giggle. ^__^
I don't have a good pic of the front view. I'd take a new one but he got sweaty last night so it's all flat
First we went for a walk
Then we had a photoshoot
(I might have to redo the photos since I realized his mask isn't quite right
