2nd opinion with new OB

Had my 2nd opinion consult with a new OB. After reviewing my hospital records, she agreed with my primary OB's decisions. What I had is known as Postpartum Hemorrhage due to Uterine Atony, pretty much I had no muscle tone in my uterus after delivery causing it not to contract and to bleed out.

All of the correct steps were taken including the use of 4 different anti-hemorrhage medications and even the suturing of the bleeding arteries but it just wouldn't work

For my still open incision, she cultured it and is sending me out for lab work because she wants to know why I'm not healing. She tossed around the word "diabetes", so fingers crossed that's not what it is (but it would explain the slow healing)

I'm so sorry that you're still dealing with all this. I hope that it gives you some measure of comfort to know that your primary OB did all s/he could. I also hope that you get answers soon and that your healing continues. ((Hugs))

I'm sorry you are stilling dealing with this but at least you got a second opinion. I hope they figure things out and you can heal soon. I can't imagine not being healed this long afterwards. Hugs and prayers!
