Day 4 of stims here- all is going well follie-wise.  Just bruising a lot, but if that means I'm holding a baby in 9 months, I would take more bruises!  Trying to stay relaxed and not do to much, because I know in a day or two I'll start to get super uncomfortable.  Acupuncture tonight and going to treat myself to a mani/ pedi afterwards.

LOVE oreos, but because I have slightly elevated blood sugar, I can't even remember the last time i had one .

    IVF #1 Oct 2013- cancelled
IVF #2 Mar 2014- success.... baby girl born 11/28/14
FET #1 Mar 2016- baby boy due 12/16/16

  • I posted about starting my meds a day late yesterday, but luckily that shouldn't harm anything. I'm still not feeling as positive about this cycle, but working on it and feeling better after seeing my acupuncturist last night. ER is tentatively scheduled for 3/13.

QOTD: I love Oreos, but my absolute favorite cookies are Girl Scout Cookie Samoas!!! Last year I didn't have a single cookie, but someone brought in a box to work and I ate one cookie. I'm hoping I can limit it to just that one, since I can easily eat a whole box and I've already gained so much weight and I'm currently medicating with Easter candy in lieu of Advil or wine, so I need to stay away from the Girl Scouts!

    Everyone welcome!

  • Hi all... So... I am having an issue and wondered if anyone has experienced this before. I have been on the BCP for 4 and a half weeks (all active, skipping placebo week) and Lupron since Feb 25. Last night was my last BCP and my baseline scan is scheduled for Monday. When I went to the ladies' room a few minutes ago I realized I am spotting -- first day of period like, actually. But it has not been long enough off BCP yet for period to start (since, as far as my body knows, I'm not even late for the next pill). I know that the baseline scan is scheduled to coincide with the start of one's period, but if this is mine starting so early... I am going to call the nurse as soon as I can, but in the mean time, was just wondering if anyone else has experienced significant break through bleeding like this and whether or not it affected timing of baseline scan. This is my first IVF cycle, so don't know if this is normal or not. Thanks. As for Oreos.... Love, love, loved them as a kid, but do not buy them as an adult. The older I get, the less I like sweets.

  • Hi ladies!

I had my baseline this morning and got the greenlight to go ahead for my FET.  I'm starting Estrace today and go back for another monitoring appt on Monday.  I have to be on estrace for at least 12 days so transfer will not be until the 22nd at the earliest.  I got my box full of meds yesterday and I have to tell you I'm already scared of the PIO shots.  The needles look really intimidating!

QOTD:  I love double stuff oreos but love cookies in general.  Homemade chocolate chip as so delicious when they are fresh out of the oven.  As for girl scout cookies, thin mints are my favorite.  I ordered some a few weeks ago so I should get those soon.

I was so scared of the needles when I first saw them!! I'm on day 5 of PIO and its not as bad as I imagined. I have noticed that my right side is more sensitive then my left and my heating pad has been my BFF.
  • @Spring78  I also got spotting the minute I stopped BCP (maybe even while on them).  Then it took a few days for my full flow to come.  Sounds normal to me!  Good luck.

  • Hi ladies!!  So I am freaking out... I know so crazy for someone to say that while in the 2ww.. I dont know if it is working or not.. but here goes.  1dp5dt I felt twinges as much as I want to think that it is implatation, I think it is more healing from the procedure, I have never had this happen during a previous transfer.  2dp5dt - NOTHING!  I feel nothing.. so sad - I remeber alot of cramps with my only other bfp.  But I had a VERY short temper with EVERYTHING/ONE  3dp5dt (today) I am feeling very full like I have eaten a big meal (which I haven't) and I have the icky feeling like AF is coming.  I know on my only other BFP I felt like it did not work because I had cramps and felt AF coming, but I was wrong.  I wish I would have written down how I felt each day on all of my transfers...

QOTD:  I love oreos.  I think they are great!  Now I think I should have some because it is Oreo day!

  • @Ashris13  ((hugs))  There is truly no way to know right now, but I so hear you about what you are feeling.  Every single 2WW for me was filled with the same thoughts, and trying to remember exactly what my one and only BFP felt like.  Like you, I wish I had written down every symptom.

All I will say with certainty is that I felt like AF was on the way when I got my BFP.

Hang in there lady.  One day at a time.  Today is Oreo Day!  Go get some.  :)

  • I had my baseline yesterday and start stims tonight!  The ultrasound tech saw a couple fibroids around my lining, but she said they were not inside my uterus so it isn't too bad.  I have 5 follicles on my left ovary and 4 follicles on my right, which does not see like too many to me.  The nurse said everything looks good for my baseline.  I am not nervous about the meds this time.  I survived all of those shots last time, so I know I can do it again!

The POI really isn't too bad as long as you ice down your bum for a few minutes before the shot, and then use a heating pad afterwards.  Also, ask your DH to massage your bum for a minute, which helps!

Sending positive thoughts to all of your lovely ladies.  Hang in there 2WWers!  Snuggle in you little embies!

  • I'm starting to go crazy and panic. I hope it's just the fact that I am not doing anything yet. We are sooooo lucky our ins partialy covers our infertility treatments but there is a cap and the part that we do pay is still a lot (granted not nearly as much as those 100 % OOP so I am sorry). My greatest fear is that we will drain our savings before having a baby. Adoption isn't cheap. I am really starting to panic. Sorry for the vent.

QOTD I could literally eat a whole box of oreos. The originals are my favs.
  • @callalily30 I was so scared of the PIO my first cycle too. I had panic attacks about them the whole time I was stimming. When the day finally came I followed any tip I could from old posts here. I iced, had my heating pad ready, I grabbed a pillow, put my weight on the opposite side of the injection and my husband counted to 3 and 2 seconds later I said "just do it already" and he said "its already done". It was NOTHING like I had imagined. You'll be just fine =)
  • Hi, after one shot of Lupron and a bad (awful) SA (1sprem survived wash!) we are delayed one more month!  Looks like I will now be heading to April checkins once they start...

  • Hi again.  Just got a call that my E2 levels rose from 852 (on stim day 6) to 2,000 today (stim day 8).  They are going to lower my follistim dosage tonight and said they didn't want E2 to rise too much too fast.  This is the first bump we've hit and I'm hoping it's not a bad sign.   I go back tomorrow for more blood work and another ultrasound.

    Anyone experience fast rising E2?

I did and in the end, I stil was able to do a retrieval, though I did have an IUI canceled due to numerous large follicles/high estrogen levels.

I went from 2100 to 3100 basically in one day (day before I did retrieval),

I use to love Oreos but my body doesn't..so I can't eat them unfortunately or they will come right back up. Sorry..tmi!!!!
  • Had ER yesterday with 23 eggs. Since we are unexplained only did conventional IVF 5 and 4 fertilized. On the other 18 did icsi and only 8 fertilized. The nurse couldn't tell me how many eggs were mature??? So thank for 12 embryos but why such poor very rate w icsi??

  • Hi ladies.

So I had my lining check and b/w today. Lining is nice and thick at 9.4mm and my e2 is 502. My e2 is down from last week which was 656.... RE said this is normal since I started on delestrogen last week because I only take the injection 2 times per week and I had my last injection on Sunday. I should start my PIO sometime next week... Kinda nervous about that.

  • Hi ladies! I'm still hanging out in the 2WW. Since this is my first IVF, DH and I decided it was best for me to take some time off of work and do nothing. I'm sooooooo bored. Thankfully , beta is Monday... I can't wait to get the results! Good or bad, I've just gotta know & move on!

QOTD- I loooooove Oreos! The chocolate and the vanilla ones! Unfortunately, with my higher blood sugar levels, I've got to watch it. :(

  • Not much going on around here.  I'm on CD 7 and up to 3 vivelle patches tonight.  I'm so excited and nervous to see what my lining looks like next week!  Time is going so much slower than it did with my IVF cycle.  Maybe it's the lake of shots everyday or maybe it's because I didn't have a baseline, i don't know but I can't stand it.

QOTW:  I heard on the radio it was Oreo's anniversary today!!! I was so excited!  That's my favorite cookie for sure.  I love the double stuff vanilla Oreos.  I'm going to treat myself to a couple this evening :)

  • Hi Shammies,

Not much here.  In the 2ww, 5dp5dt today.  Nauseous, lightheaded, and (tmi) super gassy in the past couple days.  I have a beta on Monday, but they hold the results until repeat beta on Wednesday...which I think it sort of weird, but whatever.  I think I'm going to have to break down and POAS.

Good luck to everyone.  Thinking of everyone, and especially all my fellow 2ww buddies and those who are recently PUPO.

  • Hey Ladies!
I trigger tonight for ER on Sat morning! We only have 4 mature follicles for sure but possibly 7. Last time we had 3 retrieved, so the same number or slightly more will make us very happy! My estradiol level is 1,500 today. What does that mean? Good or bad?

  • Hi Shammies! I had my sonohystogram today. Good news is tubes and ute are great, bad news, the hemorrhagic cyst I had on Valentines has gotten larger rather than smaller, so I have to stay on BCPs and wait to be rechecked next week. I had my mind all set to start lupron tomorrow and get this going, and now we have to wait some more. :( I know it's not the worst thing ever, but right now I'm just upset and hoping I'm still going to be a shimmering shamrock. Thanks for letting me vent!

Today was day 4 of stims.  I go in tomorrow for a blood draw and will get a call with respect to dosages and my next blood draw and ultrasound (it will either by Saturday or Monday).  I keep getting bad headaches which I guess is related to the lupron.  But, I'm really not feeling anything else.  I hope that my ovaries are responding better this time.  We shall see!!

    Good luck, ladies!!
