Uggghhhh. Rough day and it's only 9:45!
The bitch at work refuses to accept the fact that I cannot make 8am meetings in person. So she scheduled an 8am that I was late for. The team discussed the topics that I'm not responsible for until 9:30. Since we ran late she wanted to extend the meeting to 11am. The meeting is in another building and the project managers I work for haven't gotten me access to a pumping room. I've been asking for access since day one of the project. So, I told her I couldn't go until 11 as I would need a break to pump. Apparently pump is a four letter word and she gave me hell for using the word pump in front of the client.
Then daycare calls and they think Riley has an ear infection. I literally have meetings all day today and DH has his big client face to face meetings all week. So unfortunately that means I am on sick duty. I call the doctor to try to get a late afternoon appointment and the front desk lady gives me shit. Like "you want to wait until the afternoon when she has an ear infection" shit. Listen bitch, I don't WANT to wait....I work and DH works so we are trying to do the best fucking job we can juggling all of this.
I'm just over it. I need to get out of the consulting business. I need more consistency in my work day. Uggghhhh.

This sucks. I'm sorry Riley is sick. Fuck the lady at work, that's horseshit to get upset over saying "pump" um, you have to... it is what it is, and the fact that she isn't very accommodating makes me want to tell you to go to HR. I can't remember your work situation but I would go to HR.
The nurse is being an ass, she either has no children, or was not a part of a two parent working home when she had young children, sometimes shit has to wait. Tylenol will help, also, the appointment would be to confirm ear infection right? So, therefore, you don't know for sure that it is an ear infection, if you did, you'd have an MD and be writing a prescripton for it right now,no? Tell her to stuff it where the sun doesn't shine.
I'm sorry you are having a craptastic day.
I clearly have a swearing problem... sorry.

Riley has the start of an ear infection and had lots of wax. The doc took out the wax and gave us antibiotics.
Sadly, Riley has lost 4oz of body weight since her appointment a month ago. We are going back in two weeks to check ears and weight. So I'm worried about her weight and eating issues too.
I called my HR department. So here's the deal, I'm in consulting. I work for a company that partnered with a company (Accenture). The bitch who made the comment is from the other company. My HR said she is way out of line. My HR is drafting an email for me to send to my company's project leadership. My company's project leadership will work with her company's executive to address the issue.
@etoille, I'm putting my resume together but I want out of consulting. Part of my discussion with my manager Friday is about a potential internal opportunity. I also work in a "hot" field so shouldn't have an issue. I just have to stay with my current company until June due to maternity leave.
