What is the craziest baby name that you have liked that you are sure you would be flamed for...

I really like Maxwell for a girl. I never thought of it before jessica simpson but I think its terribly cute

I also LOVE Cricket. I would be willing to name her Catherine Or Kate and call her Cricket but I still like it

PS i know a Cricket IRL and yes that is her legal name.

Cricket is adorable.

I am a Paisley defender. I think I am the only one on the BNB that ever defends the name. The print was named after a place in Scotland. So it's a real name, and a real place. It's NOT like naming your kid polka dot, m'kay???

I also love the name Sterling, which they all think is a snobby sounding name. I think they have a point on that one, but I like it regardless.

I have lots of feels about names.

I like Holden for a boy.

When I posted on BMB asking for opinions on that name everyone gave me crap for liking it since it screamed Catcher in the Rye. I now kind of regret not giving it to DS as his middle name.

I loved Phoenix. We'd had a miscarriage Christmas '09 and when we found out we were having DD it seemed fitting as we were rising from the ashes and given another chance. DH said it sounded stupid with our last name...this from the man who has a brother whose legal first name is Button.

I am an avid lurker on the baby name board and I cringe when I see some people posting names that I know are just going to get destroyed. I always think "OMG, just take a minute and read the board-- you'll save yourself a world of hurt!"

I like Willa and Harlow for girls and I liked Zane for a boy (as a middle name). I really pitched hard for Zane as Alexander's middle name but my classic-name-only husband threw a lady fit so I gave in.

My last name sort of sounds like the word "somebody". So when you say it out loud with Holden-- it sounds like you are saying "holding somebody"

There's a doctor whose names is Richard Head. He goes by Dick. Yeah..Dick Head.

He used to be my family's PCP.

BIL Willie (named after Father Out Law) said that they were barely out of high school and she wrote a letter while the dad was in the service that she was pregnant by him. He said it wasn't his. Nobody understand why she didn't name him Willie Jr-- Apparently he refused to acknowledge that he was his son so she named him Button to get back at him...seriously lady that's the worst boy name ever. He's 50 some years old and has never changed it. Oh and he's a meter maid.

I always feel a little envious of people who give their kids unique and weird names. I guess deep inside I wish I was ballsy enough to name my child a name that was "cool" and crazy.

I didn't want him to have to spell his name his entire life or correct people who mispronounce it.

I like classy & timeless names.

No idea lol...maybe by not naming Button Moore? I've never met her, just him. He's far too manly for his nickname first name lol!

Flame away...I'd never post this on BNB...but we named our DD Camryn. Yes, we are those people who give our DD a typically boy name and spell it weird! DH and I both have very common names. I hated having the same name as a bunch of other girls in my class, so that is probably why we went with something different!

I've definitely realized that DD's name is likely to be misspelled! It already happens. I figure she would probably hate me for giving her a common name, too, so I can't win either way!

I never really put much thought into girls names because I somehow always knew I'd have a boy.
