I need some opinions. We're weaning and tonight is our last bedtime nursing session (we'll still nurse in the morning for about another week or so before I cut it off completely). I'm trying to decide what to do for bedtime in the future. Right now it's jammies/lotion/diaper, nurse, storytime, and then bed. When I get rid of the nursing should I replace it with a bottle? Or should I just skip that part and go right to storytime? Right now she gets a bottle - about 6 oz - around 5:30/5:45, eats dinner with us around 6/6:30 (typically 3ish oz. of pureed food or finger foods of whatever we're eating) and then we start bedtime at 7. So she's eating a lot leading up to bedtime - I know she gets milk when she nurses but it's probably more of a comfort thing. And I know at SOME point babies/toddlers quite eating right before they go to sleep. What do all of you do with bottles/bedtime? Thoughts/suggestions?
And I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers this evening - I know I'll be crying when I nurse her for the last time at bedtime tonight.
