IUI #2 was a bust, so I'm just waiting for AF to show up so we can start the next cycle.
I met up with a new doctor today. My old doctor was very nice, but his office only does IUI, no IVF. As we are considering IVF as next step, we changed doctor based on a friend's recommendation.
This new doctor suggested that I do HSG. We have a 2 year old daughter whom we conceived naturally, but delivered by emergency C section. The new doctor said that there is small chance that my tubes could be blocked by scar tissues from c- section. Anyway heard of this before? I did some google and it seems that it's rare but not that unusual.
The new doctor told me to do Rubin's test (like HSG but with gas). Did anyone know about this test? I wonder why he suggests I do Rubin's test and not HSG directly.
Thank yo.

Re: New cycle, new doctor! Question regarding HSG
An HSG , Day 3 blood work, a SA on your spouse should be done... A hysteroscopy might also be a good idea after a c section to make sure your uterus doesn't have scarring, polyps etc... A good RE should discuss all this with you. You might ask the ladies over on secondary IF board about what testing they had....
