Fruit salad prep question...

If you were going to make this...https://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2013/03/pretty-fruit-salad/ would you put it together the day before a party or wash/chop all the fruit and make the syrup the day before and put together the morning of? It's for M's baptism luncheon.

    I'd wash/chop/prep everything the day before but put it together the morning of. It would be fine if made a day ahead, but it will taste fresher and cleaner the later you do it.

    That's what I was leaning towards, but I wanted to double check...I really wanted somebody to tell me it was totally fine to do it all the day before, but I know it's not. LOL
