    Wow.  I have to admit when I read the first part, I thought, "What is she getting so upset for?  It was a dumb comment but sounds like he was just joking."  Then I read the rest and realized he's just a douche and somewhat abusive.  I'm glad you're taking steps to report him to HR.  
    Visine in his lunch?  Maybe on your last day there?  I would definitely do the mail-order thing.

    I agree with what others say about getting HR involved. Also, does your office have an EEO representative since HR is so far away? Not sure where you are located and what your specific laws say. Also this guy needs more then training. You need know, maybe he has a history if this. For me, I would document everything the asshole ever said to me and who was there. Your little "asshole" diary. And if HR doesn't respond sure a lawyer would! Keep us posted if you cut his balls off!

    That would make me so mad. I was at first trying to think "well maybe he thinks they are friendlier than they really are" then I stopped and even that didn't make sense. Not a single friend, even those with the most morbid of humors would ever say this to me. 

    And the fact that he has a position of authority makes me even angrier. Update us on what happens!
