    My bassinet is the same way. The bottom is a basket for whatever. So I have diapers and wipes and things.

    It is freezing here today so I guess that means another day of trying to keep the wild things occupied without any outdoor time to kill some energy.

    Also on another board I'm on they have started a Castor Oil chronicles and discuss every night how much they are taking "the safe way" and all of the symptoms associated with it. Hmm... There seems to be way tmi about bms and all the other associated symptoms. It turns my stomache!

    @futuremrsspriggs yep! My thoughts exactly. It is really weird. And for some reason if it doesn't work the first time these women are actually trying it every night!!

    I have a patch of skin that's about two inches thick and six inches across that feels like someone took a candle and held it under the skin until the nerves were raw. :/ No blistering, no skin discoloration, no nothing. Just pain. Poor DH feels so bad every time he grazes it because it hurts so bad I tear up a little every time, and this has been going on for two weeks now. :/ Just another joyful pregnancy thing to deal with, I guess. Maybe if I milk it I can get DH to go get me Casey's crushed ice...

    Ours has sort of a basket but it's cloth or meshy flimsy as well as super old so it doesn't stay sturdy, the only thing functional in there are a couple extra blankets.

    We thought about getting a new bassinet but this one was free ;) dh settled himself on this thing he claims is $14 at Walmart.... Guess we'll see. He's on his way back home w/it now.

    That looks pretty handy! And when you don't need it for the LO later on it'll be perfect for laundry or something else! Good deal!

    Random thought:
    I'm lurking on F14 right now, and looking at some of the most recent birth stories/announcements, and it kind of makes me sad how few people have "loved it" or offered congrats. Is that what happens at the end of the month? I guess I don't know if they are randoms or drive-bys, but that makes me sad if it's just that people are getting sick of offering congrats by the end of the month!

    We have seven hens, all of which we've rescued from folks unable to take care of them any longer! Better not to get the chicks.

    I adore how cute chicks are but we can't keep up with the egg situation as it is....MH sells them for a little extra cash.

    @pepperedmoth we have 16 hens and one rooster, so we have plenty of eggs, too. It's just so hard to resist the baby chicks!!

    These are our hatched babies. We have our egg layers but these are for meat. We either use them or sell them grown. All natural free range no hormones or antibiotics.

    Got my last u/s today, along with GBS swab and a stupid cervical check, even though I didn't want one. X( Hurt like a bitch, but I had to giggle afterward because I immediately thought "Cheerio or donut?" once the doc left the room afterwards. (I have no idea which, since he didn't say, and y'all don't wanna know anyway.)

    While I was scheduling the next appointment (weekly now, yikes!) some random old 500lbs dude who walked with a cane and a wheeze walked up to me (standing entirely too close) and asked when I was due. Thank goodness he didn't try to go for the belly. @-)

    I officially can say having a posterior cervix sucks !!! I swear the whole hand was in there trying to see how dilated I was.
