Vicks on feet?

I can never search when I'm mobile, so I'm sorry as I'm sure this was probably discussed previously.

LO has a cold and can't breathe/sleep at all.. I recall hearing putting Vicks rub on their feet with socks helps with congestion. BTDT ladies- was it successful?

Anyone else have any other tricks besides what I'm already doing? (Humidifier, incline, nose Frida)

    I put Baby Vicks on his feet and his upper back. Sounds like you are doing all the right things! I also use the saline drops before using the aspirator and take him into the bathroom with me for a steam shower. I hope he feels better soon!

    I thought it helped when LO was sick last. You can always try and see.

    I found taking LO into a steamy bathroom and putting saline drops in her nose before using the nose frida worked well. You can also try adding eucalyptus oil to the humidifier, apparently that can help although I've never tried it.

    Yes I love using Baby Vicks on the feet and all our Hispanic side swears by it. You can use Vicks for anything!!

    I'll rub it on her feet then put her in a footsie sleeper for bed.

    I've been doing this for the past two nights along with steam showers, nose frida/ saline, humidifier and incline. I can't say that it is soley the vicks that is helping but a combo of those is helping a lot.

    Good luck. I'm sorry our babies are so congested. =/

    A humidifier with eucalyptus oil in it is helping LO tremendously through her current cold.
