So like most people (I hope) who have been going through this process and all the wacky crap we are putting our bodies through.... I gained weight (20+lbs). So needless to say I rarely weigh myself anymore.
But..... Since I haven't been able to keep much down since going back on oral estrace (tossing my cookies has become a sport
), I decided to get my happy ass up onto that scale to see if I had lost any weight. Low and behold..,. Hot damn I lost 30 lbs!!! Wait, what? So naturally I questioned this sudden weight drop since last month... Duh who drops weight that fast at any age let alone 37; but of course I had to check again (mind you it hasn't crossed my mind at this point that my clothes aren't fitting differently...silly me). WTH? It says the same thing!! (Now it's starting to sink in that this can't be right because my clothes aren't fitting differently). I decide in my infinite wisdom that something must be wrong with the scale...........
So I check it....
A tiny little corner was on top of the rug...... Hmmm that must be the culprit. But I'm thinking the whole time it can't be off that much so maybe I have lost some weight..... Dun dun duuunnn!! I did. 1.5lbs.
Man that just sucked. And I am an idiot when estrogen is coursing through my body. Thanks for the knife in my heart IF.

Lol I give you credit. I would have walked away after I saw down 30lbs. The scale mist be right!
I won't even look at a scale!
I have given up on the scale - too depressing!! My clothes are enough of a reminder of the weight I've gained!
IF just laughed at me.

This is why there are no scales in my house.
The last time I was weighed was my first intralipid infusion. The number hurt a little, but was not a complete shock since I have moved up a few pants sizes. The worst part was that the dumb nurse that was monitoring my infusion kept telling me how tiny I was. I wanted to tell her that my weight would be tiny on a 5'10'' person, but I am only 5'2'' so it puts me solidly in the overweight range.
ETA: 1.5 lbs is a good start although the method might not be the healthiest.

DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA
October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos
November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues. Converted to freeze all due to lining issues. 2 blasts frozen on day 6!
January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
April 2015: FET #2.1

Your post made me laugh - that is something I would totally do, right down to the personal dialogue that you were having. Congrats on the 1.5 lbs!!
I don't have a scale because I'm obsessed with numbers and if it's not a certain number (and it hasn't been for over a year now) - I go nutsto. Now I just go by how my pants fit. And - of course - if they don't fit right I just assume that the dryer shrank 'em.
