If one more person says I look further along than 6 1/2 months or that I look like I'm "almost there" or asks if I'm having twins, I'm gonna get real hormonal on that a$$! I get it, I'm big. I'm 5'2" and my torson is super short giving baby nowhere to go but OUT. But, SHUT UP! It's just as rude to tell a pregnant person they look further along than they are as it is to ask a non pregnant person if they are pregnant. OK, rant over.
Re: I'm big, I get it!
Our office cleaning lady told me my butt was getting bigger sometime around the beginning of 2nd tri. I flat-out told her it was rude to say that, and now she doesn't talk to me anymore. Oh well!

I haven't received too many rude comments so far, but when I was pregnant with DS I did. My coworker would always comment on how my belly was bigger after lunch and things like that. My friend told me after I had DS that my face got bigger when I was pregnant and now it's back to normal. Ummm okay thanks?? What are you even supposed to say to that?
Ughhhh people are dumb.
I mean! Really!!!
I could write a book about the inappropriate shit people say to me.
DH's family says the same damn thing to me! I'm almost 5'8" but with both of my pregnancies I grow straight out! When I was pregnant with DD1, people would say, "wow that's a big baby" and I would just give them a blank stare...she weighed 7lbs 3oz!! I wish I could give them a snarky reply but now when they make comments about my belly growing I just say, "that's the idea" or "that's how this works". Body changes are difficult to watch, it sucks to have people acknowledge it in a borderline negative way!!
Edited to fix wording.
Married 6/28/08, TTC 7/10, BFP 11/30/11! Charlotte Rose born on 8/4/12! TFAS 8/13, BFP 10/14/13! Lori Anne Catherine born on 6/13/14!
If it happens again I won't be as nice. I just think it's rude. Do I comment on your belly? Noooooo.
My MIL makes these comments all the time. At the beginning it was some comment about how I don't have a belly yet so shouldn't be wearing maternity clothes, then instantly it was 'you're going to have a big baby!'. Like others I'm only 5'1" and since this is my 2nd my belly suddenly popped.
My favorite was when my MIL looked at my 18wk ultrasound picture, which was a close-up of his face, and proclaimed that he already looks really big. How the hell can you tell from an u/s pic?! She can go f&ck herself.

Soooo beyond fustrating i need to start answering vack because even complete strangers comment on my bumb which i love! Im 6 1/2 months and i dont consider myself bigger or smaller i just consider myself PREGNANT !!! Uugggh people are so rude its so obnoxious even family does unless you want to tell me im glowing fabulous then dont comment on my bump! Im not having twins...i know im gonna get bigger...(which im ok with) my bump may have been bigger than yours but guess what im not you blaahhh...
Celebrate your bump all diffrent shapes sizes its beautiful that pregnancy is different for all women dont put me in a mold
see, I have a bit of the opposite problem. I'm plus size to begin with, and have a fairly big belly anyway. I was afraid I'd be 8 months along and still not showing, but happy now that I'm finally begining to see a difference (I'm almost 26 weeks) and my pants are finally too small. I'm happy to have a soccer ball in there making things look more round.
so yeah.... There was a woman I see every day when I drop my son off at school who said yesterday "I just heard you were pregnant... congrats! I just thought you had gained even more weight over the winter". I just opened my mouth and stared at her. RUDE.
@rachel5130, unfortunately he's the one contributing to the issue. I really haven't had anyone say anything bad to me except for him. It's unintentional, but it sucks.
The lastest one was as I was lamenting how big I felt. Extra bloaty day, just feeling heavy and blah and so I say "I feel huge.". His response: "You are.". Thanks. X(
@jshrop, hell hath no fury like a pregnant women denied food. Especially yummy food. I've started to try and ignore it, I'm just too tired to get into it.
BTW, your boobs will just get bigger. Maybe you should remind him of that.
