What symptoms are you feeling this week?:  Not feeling much, just more of the baby moving.  Heading to a check up in a few minutes!

GTKY: What book have you read lately that you've enjoyed? The last one I read that I enjoyed was Winter of the World by Ken Follett, but I read that last May.  I've read some others since, but not much and they haven't been as enjoyable.

ETA:  Update from my doctor's appointment.  Everything looks good, but apparently they didn't mark in my chart that my placenta was low on my cervix and I had been put on pelvic bedrest.  Awesome.  Glad I asked about it this time so she could make a note for me to schedule a follow up u/s at the next check and see if anything's moved.
  • 21 weeks today! No idea what fruit that is. I'm feeling better than usual as far as fatigue goes, but just yesterday I started having this terrible pain in my right butt cheek. I can't tell if it's muscular or SI joint related, but the chiro on Friday should help. I hope. My husband is forcing me to read harry potter right now. I just started book three yesterday! I'm not officially hooked, but they're okay.

My husband refuses to read Harry Potter.  He's watched the movies with me, but won't read them.  I've told him for years now that it'll be his responsibility to read them to our kids when the time comes.

  • What week and fruit are you?:
    21 weeks! Pomegranate?

What symptoms are you feeling this week? First definite movements of my little baby!! It's amazing and I can see why people love this parting pregnancy! Other than that no symptoms to speak of! Feeling great!

GTKY: What book have you read lately that you've enjoyed?
I've actually read a couple of really good books recently! The newest Nicholas Sparks novel "The longest ride" was amazing, I think my favorite of his novels. I also just finished Divergent by Victoria Roth and have started Insurgent. Love them, similar to the hunger games, easy and addicting reads!!

I have. I haven't been eating any more this week than the weeks before and I swear I've gained like 3-5 pounds just this week.

  • @ashcross and @zerozeroone THANK YOU. I had a steady 10 through the first 20 weeks in the last 2.5 weeks I have put on like 8-10?? And I haven't changed a thing. So frustrating (just cause I worry that I did something wrong) but hopefully will taper off.

I have. I haven't been eating any more this week than the weeks before and I swear I've gained like 3-5 pounds just this week.
I gained 1 lb total the first 15 weeks and found out today I gained 8 lbs in 4 weeks. My OB told me to cut down on cookies and crackers (which I haven't been eating) as well as fruit and juice. I'm hoping my weight tapers off for a while because I can't be gaining 8 lbs every month!
Same for me. Although I do eat a lot of fruit. I gained like 10 pounds in the first 19 weeks and this past weeks it been like 5-10 with no changes in my eating patterns. URGH! I worried about the whole 8 lbs a month thing too.

  • @ashcross , hopefully it's just something that happens when we're at this point in pregnancy and it will slow down! I will take my OB's advice and seriously cut down on fruit because I know it's full of sugar and carbs. I've just been craving it like crazy!
thanks!!! I will do. I meet with my OB next week too.

  • week and fruit: 21, pomegranate

symptoms:  heartburn/reflux (what the heck is this?!  I've never had this in my life!!!) and lotsa round ligament pain :(

GTKY: What book have you read lately that you've enjoyed?  I just read Tina Fey's "Bossypants".  I found it really interesting, but not funny.  All over the back cover were testimonials saying how "laugh out loud hilarious" the book supposedly was.  Nope.  Mindy Kaling's "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? And Other Concerns" is freakin' hilarious, though!!

  • What week and fruit are you?: I am 18 weeks. Fruit this week is sweet potato.

What symptoms are you feeling this week?: This week my aches and pains have gotten worse. Particularly the lower back and hips. Having a hard time getting comfortable to sleep. Today I started getting swelling in my hands.

GTKY: What book have you read lately that you've enjoyed? I am currently reading secrets of a baby whisperer by Tracy Hogg. I am about half way through it. It's pretty good. Since I am a FTM I am not sure how helpful it will be.
