I was hoping to come back after ER with a better update. We retrieved only one egg yesterday. About an hour after we got home our RE called to tell us that it was not mature.

We went back in to remove my stitch and had a WTF where she didn't recommend cycling with my eggs again. She did say we could seek a second opinion (she came from CCRM), but we are limited financially at this point (OOP) and this is the only clinic in our state. SD also doesn't legally allow anonymous egg donation at this time, but we are leaning toward a foreign adoption anyway.

I am incredibly sad, but there is also a small sense of relief that this part of our journey is coming to an end. I'm rooting for all of your BFP's this month even if I don't check in as often.

Oh, @JillWheat & @sorrellam30, I am so, so sorry. My thoughts are with you both. I can completely relate to what you said, sorrellam, about it being hard to come to this board sometimes. It was excruciatingly hard for me to see my 'badge mates' having success when I was so entirely miserable from IVF #1's BFN (no frosties) and IVF #2's cancelation after ER. ((((Hugs)))) I worry about leading the check ins if tomorrow's news is not good...

When I led check ins and got a bfn someone always graciously took over, hopefully you get a bfp and it won't be a problem :). Rooting for you

Gosh, lots of bad news here. :'( Sending big hugs to STBMrsMiller and @JillWheat

RunCC37, I could take over for you. I just got confirmation that my IUI will be Friday, Feb. 28th, so my TWW will last the duration. But I'm still hoping you get good news tomorrow so that I don't have to!!!

Irishlove16, it could still go either way. You'll just have to see what your doc says. Good luck!!

***comment copy/pasted from the Wednesday Trigger thread***

We got the news, and will continue to be in limbo for another day.

Of our five embryos, three arrested and two are still growing slowly. We will wait and see if those two make it to blastocysts tomorrow, and freeze them if they do. One is doing better than the other, and the other is "small with disorganized cells." That likely means that it is getting ready to arrest. My doctor said that he is hoping we will get one to freeze tomorrow.

He said he is surprised by the way this all went. He expected more eggs, and more of them to be mature. I am not surprised in the least. This just seems to be the way it goes for us. With that being said, I'm trying to remain positive for our two embryos who are still going.

This is the farthest we've ever gotten (presumably, because we did a 3dt for IVF #1 and no transfer for #2). I have said from the beginning that if we get one blast from this cycle, it will be a miracle and I'd be so happy. I truly mean that. I must admit that the darkness is creeping in, but I plan to distract myself for the rest of the day with work. I will try to focus on the two embryos that are still growing - we still have a shot at this!!

My doctor will call me tomorrow between 10-1 and let me know. I didn't sleep any last night... tonight's gonna be hard. I'm debating on what to do with work tomorrow... If we have one blast make it to freeze, I'll be fine. But if we have nothing... I will need time to process this on my own terms.

Thank you @pblge for offering to take over in the event that I need to step aside. I'm hoping that tomorrow's call tells us that we have something to freeze, and a FET in our future. If that's the case, I'm still here :)

Our beta came in on Sunday.  There will be no baby starting for us this month.  Good luck to everyone & thank you for all of your support.  I think it is time we left the roller coaster & will not be back for regular IVF.  We may think about donor eggs but are not sure if our insurance will cover enough of it for us to be able to afford it.  Who knows - maybe mother nature will give us a surprise.  We are very sad but feel that enough is enough for the moment.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope you're able to find peace no matter what your next steps are. (hugs)

@keziah23, I kind of expected this to happen... actually, yesterday's report was better than I expected. Leaps and bounds better than IVF #2 (which was canceled on Day 3 because our embryos arrested at the 1-2 cell range :( )

My doctor promised to call me as soon as he got the lab report - sometime between 10-1.

    What time is your transfer??

    @keziah23, I hope you get a good call <3

I decided to stay home from work today. I forced myself to go back to work yesterday after we got our call... I felt like I had gotten beaten up. I couldn't focus on ANYTHING. I'm a music teacher, and while I was teaching a trumpet lesson, I couldn't figure out the names of the notes - something that is second nature. It is just so, so stressful waiting on these calls.
