Last week I was down 5lbs.. not sure if it's changed must since then. I finally caved Friday and got an RX for Zofran so I've been able to keep some food and liquid down this week.
I started out gaining around 4 lbs but recently I stepped on the scale and realized I was one lb lighter than my pre pregnancy weight. Hey, I'll take it.
I'm up about 3 at home, but down 1 at my OB. I'm hoping to stay in the 15-25 lb range, so I'm keeping track. So far, so good...but we'll see when the cravings kick in what happens!
S14 August Siggy Challenge.....ALL OF THE ALCOHOLS
As of about a week ago, I was down 8lbs. I lost more than that last time, and didn't start gaining until I was about 16 weeks. My belly grew, of course, but the scale didn't show it. My midwife was not concerned in the least. And when I delivered at 41w+5d, my baby was a healthy 8#12oz
It's totally normal to lose OR gain in the first trimester. Don't sweat it.

I was still at pre pregnancy weight a few days ago. Though I doubt that will be case soon since I ordered in for lunch yesterday and went out for lunch with my mom today. I really can't afford to put on a lot of weight so I hope the m/s and cravings ease up soon. I am either ravenous or ready to meet the toilet. Why oh why does it have to be one extreme of the other?
Up 2 according to my scale and 4 according to the scale at my OB.
Ugh, I hate that! My scale says I've not gained nor lost and the OB scale is always 2 lbs more..though of course I'm always fully clothed at the OB. Lol
That's what I'm saying for the difference at the OB - being fully clothed. Bums me out though! I can justify the two pounds as half water weight and half in my bra. Hahaha.

12 weeks and up 3 pounds give or take a pound. This is about the same as my first time around (which all came off fairly quickly with very little effort after DS was born). No worries here.

I read that in the 1st 3 month the weight is rather stay the same, not going down or up. Because I was concerned about it as well. Mine was at the beginning until like 8 weeks are crazy, going up to 134 and next day going down at 130. Right now at 11 weeks it stayed the same, but Im getting hungry every hour, used to be a 3 hours before. Not sure where it's all going...
I am up by 4 at 10 weeks. I was concerned I was eating too much at first, but really have been eating normal plus a yogurt:) hope I can keep it at a good pace for these next 30 weeks!
I've seen the scale go up as much as 5lbs, on average I'm about 2lbs heavier. Depends on when I step on the scale and how good I've been about pounding water that day.
brachysira I am in the same boat! My scale shows I haven't gain and my OB scale said I lost 1 pound but me jeans do not fit me. Leggings it has been until I am ready to buy maternity clothes.
I'm holding steady so far - just the usual pound or two fluctuation. I haven't had ms much and actually upped my calorie goal about two weeks ago to account for being ravenous all the time (I had been tracking to lose weight before). However today was my first day with a rubber band on the button of my jeans. So much more comfortable while sitting in class!
I'm down 8 lbs as of this morning at 12 weeks. I lost quite a bit with DS too and ended up only gaining 10 lbs over pp with him. Hopefully it will be similar this time.
I don't really look at scales & I walk backwards onto the scale at my OB's office, with threats to the nurse if she says anything to me about weight. The OB's scale is always wrong!!
Started at 130 last I weighed myself (which was...awhile ago, I'll admit).
Was at 126 shortly after learning I was pregnant, now I'm "up" to 128, almost 129.

I just don't have a huge appetite right now, and what food sounds appealing can be...limited. Although yesterday I suddenly HAD TO HAVE A WAFFLE because DH had french toast and the syrup smelled amazing. My diet right now is sort of hilarious.
Is heartily apologizing to her child in advance for genes that predispose them to shitty vision and being Too Damn Tall.
I'm 9.5 weeks pregnant and already gained 3 lbs. I eat what I want when I can since I've been suffering from extreme nausea all day, all night for the last five weeks. I plan on eating much healthier when I start feeling better, but for now it's all fruit and carbs (crackers, bread, granola bars, etc.) for this girl!
Haven't been on the scale since my last OB appt. I have my next one on Thursday so I'll see then. Last appt I was 134lbs. This time last pregnancy I was down 10lbs and my OB put my in the hospital for rehydration. I really hope I don't end up in the hospital again. I'm eating a bit more this time but I'm not able to drink as much as I probably should be.
I'm up 2 from my pre-pregnancy weight, but down 2 from my last doctor's visit. It's kind of weird, but my doc isn't very concerned. I'm constantly eating throughout the day (at least every 2-3 hours), so I was concerned, but she says not to focus so much on trying to eat more, but to make sure that what I'm eating is healthy and I'm getting all of my nutrients, so that's more of my focus that what's on the scale. Plus...that thing fluctuates like crazy, just from morning to night @-) Then with all of my bloating and whatnot I think it's just hard to get an accurate picture at this stage...at least for me.
September '14 June Siggy Challenege: Dad Eye Candy
I've gained 10lbs the first 2 weeks after I found out I was losing not so much. Seriously have one pair of pants that fit so I have some shopping to do. I only have morning sickness when I have not eaten and I usually have to eat within 10-15 mins of feeling hungry before I get sick.
I'm sensing that being small framed...I'm going to be screwed with weight gain. My mom and grandma were both the EXACT same weight as me when they got pregnant and both gained like 35-40lbs!!! It came off but granted, they both gave birth at 21 and I'm 40 with my first. Seriously hoping I stick tonight 25-35lb guideline for my weight/frame (108/5'2") and that I can get it off on the back end!
Definitely sucks trying to hide the bump as it's more obvious right off the bat that it's there.
Anyone STM's who started small and gained a bunch? Did it come off?
This is my second. I gained 40 with my first and I'm currently at 107 (down 3 lbs from the MS). It does come off.
gained 40 with my first..came off pretty fast without trying too hard..honestly I think ppl stress way too much about what the scale says during pregancy...just enjoy yourself!!! obviously within reason:)
Haven't gained or lost anything. I'm a bit overweight from my first pregnancy and trying to keep it off as long as I can. Just walking, walking, walking and trying to not eat everything in sight! (definitely not successful - I had THREE oatmeal creme pies the other night. oh, delight)
Mom to Abigail & Liliana -- Identical Twin Girls -- April 2008 Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
I'm up 1-4 lbs. (depending on the day/time of day) from my pre-pregnancy weight. Since I started out overweight, I'm trying to keep my weight in check.
I can't believe some of you are down so much weight from before your pregnancy. I've had some morning sickness but sounds like not nearly as bad as others.
Ultimately, I just care about having a healthy pregnancy and baby.
I'm still the exact same weight at 13 weeks. My dr is pissed at me bc he wants me to gain 20 lbs by 26 weeks.... Something about earlier weight gain keep twins in longer, but I don't know what else to do! I eat regularly and don't "calorie count" I'm just a naturally thin person.
last time I gained 10lbs in the first tri. This time only two so far.
Last time I gained 40 pounds total but the last 15 didn't come off until I stopped breastfeeding. Even though I am not overweight, I am hoping not to gain as much this time, because I was so miserable last time with how heavy I was. That being said, unless you are restricting calories, your body will gain what it wants to regardless of your eating. You don't have a lot of control over it especially in the second half of second tri. If my body needs to put on fat, then it will do so no matter what I eat.
I've gained 10. I think I'm over-indulging in fear that I will have gestational diabetes again and at some point will have to start following that diet again and feeling very deprived. I'm also not exercising at all like I used to. I blame that mostly on the fact that I pee myself while exercising since I had DS.
I'm up 11.5 pounds at 12 weeks. Not too worried about it. Everyone is different. No metabolism change for me with baby Plus, I didn't suffer from morning sickness, and I know a lot of ladies have trouble gaining early because of that. Trust me, I'd rather gain the weight over having morning sickness.
I'm down 12lbs and no one can figure out why, third kid and all. My doctor says I was so thin to begin with that losing weight is a really bad idea (I started out at 5'7" 130lbs, now down to 118) even 2 thyroid tests have showed everything is fine. I haven't even been sick and I eat about the same amount I always have. I drink tons of water and take my vitamins so there's no reason to be losing so much weight. He wants me up to 125 by the 21st of March, but It seems like an impossible feat... I haven't lost any in the last 4 days but it's stayed the same.
I think I've gained like 6-8lbs so far at 15w. IMO it's ok to gain 1lb a week, some weeks nothing, some weeks more, some weeks down, but o really if it's 40 it's fine. Obviously it depends on what's healthy for your ore pregnancy weight.

I am already up 4 lbs. I haven't been nauseous just hungry... all the time.
I am worried about my weight gain. I have always been weight conscious and gaining is stressing me out.
