I am really shocked I managed to get in here and post this first.

It seems we were right last week thinking Spencer might have had something to do with it since she was on the pills. I am confused though, what kind of pills is she on? I didn't know Adderall type pills would make someone blackout like that. ANYWAY I don't know if I really think she had anything to do with it though. I still think if ANYONE did it, Aria is still the best suspect. I actually couldn't find anything to complain about her this week because she genuinely seemed devastated. I absolutely cannot stand Paige and I wish she would just go away. I legitimately cringed when Hanna was with the detective, and Toby's little lost puppy attitude is really starting to drive me crazy.

What did I miss? Because I was trying to watch that and follow along on all the N13/N14 hilarity at the same time so I am sure I missed things!

I actually really liked last night's episode. I felt like it was starting to lead us in a solid direction. I wish it hadn't been so long since I read the books, because I can't quite remember how the Spencer story line went, but I do recall a very similar thing happening in the book, where Spencer suppressed the memory of their fight the night Ali disappeared.

I agree that if any of the Liars are A (which I do not believe), it would be Aria. But last night's episode really seemed like that would be a far stretch. My theory on the whole Ezra of it all is that he is not at the publisher's talking release dates, but rather, cancelling the book. I think he will come back and help them try to figure out who A is, since according to his notes, he was already trying to figure that out, which scratches him off of the suspect list.

Paige... I have never been a Paige fan. Last night, she seemed very sketchy. Is she on the A team? I think so! I also do not like where they have gone with Toby's character.

I love Hanna, but I too, cringed when she kissed the cop. They need to go ahead and let these girls graduate HS, so that all these hookups aren't so statutory!

Oh, and last night's A ending sure seemed like A is a large man. Spencer's dad maybe? Or Aria's dad?

Weren't they also drinking that night in the barn? Ali kept encouraging them to drink. I think it will come out that Ali somehow set Spencer up knowing she was mixing the alcohol with the pills. Nothing is ever simple on PLL, so if they are making us believe that Spencer did it, she probably didn't.

Paige weirded me out even more than usual last night. She's always been way to possessive over Emily, and she plays the "I'm doing this for your own good because I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" card a lot. Emily will never forgive her for turning Ali in, so this isn't going to end well for Paige.

I can't believe there are people out that that still want Ezra and Aria together. He used her, and he knowingly let her and her friends be targeted by A without doing anything about it. He also didn't seem to care enough about her to stick around and try to explain himself. He's already in NY trying to get his book published. I just wonder if it will turn out to be the same book? How does it already have an ending?

This is a good thought. He well could have been cancelling the book & that would be nice of him to regain everyone's trust that he has nothing to do with it besides being a weirdo.

If Marlene King says that Ezra will help the girls, I feel like cancelling the book would be the only way to get back in the girls' good graces.

I think that is totally plausible. You know that Ali would have known about Spencer taking the pills, since she seemed to know everyone's secrets. So, what better way to fake your own death, than to take advantage of that knowledge. Maybe she added something to the alcohol that night also.

If Ezra is really, legitimately not A, then WHY in the fuck did he have all that surveillance shit? There's no way in fuck that was all just for research and shits and giggles. I'm still super suspicious. He's also a huge douche, if nothing else.

Also, just as a note on the show, I was not impressed with the acting in this episode. I know these aren't A-list actors, but fuck. Some of that shit was awful. Although Aria's crying and craziness was much better than last week.

I did the same thing! Until last week, I never believed that one of the Liars could be A. Now, I could totally see Aria being A. She is still not on my top list of suspects, but those google searches last week planted the seed of doubt, for sure.

My theory this week, after last night's episode is that maybe A is Spencer's dad and Ali's mom. That could explain why Cece was paid not to say anything about seeing the fight with Spencer. It could also explain why Ali hasn't contacted her mom yet. I mean, if I were in danger, my parents would be the first person I'd turn to. They both have money, and A has to have funds coming from somewhere.

suziqnc I agree something was off with Paige last night. I think she has something to do with the A team. And maybe one of the cops, like the one that Hannah kissed.

I do not think Ali is afraid enough of spencer to fake her own death. She was probably afraid of her that night but that isn't the real spencer.

I don't know what to think anymore I am interested in this show but this whole "look A is Melissa" "A is WIlden" "A is Ezra" Haha made you look, is getting old.

I think in the final episode there will be some disgusting reveal leaving us all so pissed that we wasted a million years invested in this show and trying to figure it out.

Surprise! A doesn't really exist. This is all a story that Ezra is writing from prison for multiple counts of statutory rape and murder! Haha we got you guys!!11!!

Spencer is the only one that is every truly trying to figure things out, and she was the only one that wanted to go through the stuff at Ezra's apartment. Seems strange that the other girls wouldn't want the same.. plus Aria was burning the pages from that notebook with their secrets. What if there was something in there that Aria didn't want them to know? Or what if Emily, Hanna, and Aria all know something that they are trying to keep from Spencer?

@bbg676 - I totally agree. I will be pissed if Aria goes back to him. I've read several times where the creator of the show has told Ezria lovers to not give up hope on them. She's also said Toby was bad and Ezra was A, so I don't know that she can be believed. However, whether or not he's A, he's still an awful person. I know this show isn't trying to set an example of healthy teenage relationships or actions, but putting Aria back with Ezra sends a horrible message to teenage girls about abusive relationships.

I ABSOLUTELY agree. And I think that puts weight into Aria having more to hide than the others. She had no problem destroying the ever loving hell out of his possessions, why not ruin him and send him to jail. And I am sorry, nothing could have convinced me not to turn him in as her parent. The minute I found out, my ass would be at the police station.

If she goes back to him, I think there is something that is not being told. The relationships on this show, except for Hanna and Caleb, are so infuriating.

Caleb could return to Rosewood, since NDM no longer 'needed' him around (and there were always theories that she was OLD dead Miranda, anyways).

Tl;DR: Toby is a douche-nozzle and I will never understand his lack of forgiveness/understanding with Spencer's issues when she forgave him for sleeping with his sister. Yep - I went there.

1) I don't think Hanna is A. Or working for them. I have never been able to get behind that because it seems she has had the most shit happen to her and I don't think you would need to go to that lengths to maintain an air of innocence.

2) I NEVER thought of the possibility of NDM being ODM that's pretty interesting

3) Toby is "just trying to help" though!!! and besides he was blackmailed to sleep with his sister!!11! So gross

I think the writers of the show are having a touch time separating their timeline from the timeline in the book. Because in the book it was 4 years (or thereabouts. It's been a long time since I read the first set of books). I think the writers write themselves into corners and then think their audience either won't catch on or that we are too dumb to poke holes in their convoluted train of thought. It bothers me. A LOT.

I said the exact same thing about the pills....to my sleeping kid because I was watching alone. ANYWAYS I think the only 2 liars with the possibility of being A would be Emily and Aria. BUT then Em had a car ran through her house so who the hell knows on that one anymore.

Hanna really hasn't been unscathed though if you think about it. She was hit by a car, knocked out and had some shit put in her mouth, had to destroy her father's second marriage (even though it worked out in the end). There were other things but that's neither here nor there.

And yes I completely agree the writers are on crack. Beyond the stupid ass fake outs, THEY TOOK AWAY JASON JAKE AND CALEB. There has to be something wrong

Does anyone have a great memory, or a good link, so that we can list the things that A has done to the liars. I actually think Hanna has been hit the hardest. I know Aria has had it the easiest.

Here is what I can remember off the top of my head.

Aria: Had to tell her mom about her dad's affair, her parents found out about Ezra. Got locked in the box with dead body on train. Is that it?

Hanna: Got hit by a car, Got busted for shoplifting which spurred her mom and Wilden, her mom framed for murder, had to try to split up her dad and stepmom. I think she was also supposed to break it off with Caleb at some point.

Emily: Car through the house, got hurt so that she can't swim, Miya was killed, CPS was called.

Spencer: Radley, was almost killed by Mona. (I am drawing a blank now and confusing things with the books)

Don't you remember A forcing one of the Lairs (Hannah, I think) to give the ticket to the art show out of town to Aria's mom that A KNEW Aria/Ezra would be attending? The Liar knew that Aria/Ezra may be caught, but they just happened to luck out with Aria's mom and the flat tire (almost like it was... a test

).

I think there were a lot of times that Aria/Ezra's relationship was tested. Like when Ezra's 'child' Malcolm was 'kidnapped' by the Aria impersonator and taken to the circus (prompting Aria to break up with him, worrying about Malcolm's safety). Or, when Ezra's college ex showed back up in town (which A brought her in and then tore her down by bringing up her plagiarized thesis - which, again, totally pointed toward Ezra - who else would have known).

You bring up a good point. I cant decide if the writers have a love hate relation with aria and ezra as a couple or what.

But i dont like ezra never have. I feel like the entire first season we watched him piss and moan that aria should be with a guy her own age but he just cant stay away from her.

Also, people forget ezra has the financial means to pull some of these things off. Remember hes from a family with lots and lots of money.

I didnt love the black and white episode but i think there was a lot of clues dropped in there that were ignored and pushed a side to focus on the changes made to the diary.

Like, during spencers break with reality spencer imagines Aria confessing to being back with ezra then later its revealed to the liars that she is back with him.

Alot of aria is a theories are using that episode as ammo because aria shows paige how to use a camera. Well in season three aria gets a job working as an assistant to a photographer.
