TMI ! How do you plan on ....landscaping ? ;)

Re: TMI ! How do you plan on ....landscaping ? ;)

  • I'm currently going at it blind, but mostly just trimming up around the bikini area. Hair in my nether regions annoys me so bad though since I'm used to having it shaved, so pretty soon I will be pulling out the mirror to fully take care of it. I could care less about the medical staff seeing or even DH for that matter (if he had a preference) but I can't get past the itchy annoying part of growing the hair back out so I just keep it going.
This is and has been my plan as well. It has been a couple of weeks since the last session and the growth is driving me nuts. To each their own in their preference but I prefer it cleaned up. Especially now with all of the other glorious pregnancy related issues going on down there as well...

Yahh this isn't weird at all...
  • I actually asked a new mom friend of mine and got some great advice, as some pp's, re using a personal trimmer attachment for the razor. Seems to be working out blindly so far

I basically do this but with a cheaper version: https://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod3190013 I don't like to trim too short, just enough to keep things tidy. I can't stand stubble down there so would rather keep it a little longer. I've had a few waxes in the past too, trying to thin the hair out but it never seems to help much.
I totally use the trimmer attachment for DH's electric razor. I always shower first though...
My DH gets bad shaving rash so has a salon quality trimmer he uses to shave, would love to have a go with that thing but I know he'd hit the roof if he found out!

The Shick Trimstyle is waterproof so I usually just do mine in the shower or bath. These days now that my center of gravity is changing it's usually the bath  :)

But seriously... Trimming as long as I'm able and then hello 70s bush

  • I'm already past the point of being able to see down there.  I've tried to just let it grow but once it gets to a certain point, it becomes really uncomfortable for me for some reason.  So I've just been hacking away blindly in the shower.  I'm sure it looks spectacular, but at least it's getting the job done enough that it's not bothersome.
This is me. If I don't tend to it I'm really uncomfortable. I tried, though.

This is amazing and makes me want to shop at American Apparel.  Way to be comfortable with the female body in all its glory.

Careful, the CEO is apparently a total creep.

I don't care, I try to trim when I have an OB appt but that's it. With DD my friends tried to convince me I needed to go get Vagazzled. Look it up if you want a good laugh, NSFW though.

  • I shave it all off because I can't stand it. Me and the Mach 3 are close friends. Haven't been able to see my vag in a couple of weeks, so like PP said, I am going by feel and faith!

  • For my own sake I don't like having hair there and I also think it is easier to manage post-birth mess when things are tidy.

I'm having a very difficult time seeing over the bump already. I have a bench in my shower, I'm going to attempt shaving with a hand mirror on the bench. If that doesn't work then I'm heading to the salon for full waxes. I cannot handle how uncomfortable it is when I allow hair to grow. Plus I'd like to have minimal hair and less mess while dealing with all the bleeding after delivery. I'm sure it'll hurt like a bitch... But practice for the feelings of my downstairs being ripped apart?? Maybe??

Edit: words are hard. Especially on mobile

Same here. It's definitely not as clean lately, but I'm ok with it.

  • I trim to keep it at a certain length but it's a 5 minute or less task.  It's not landscaped by any means.  I probably wouldn't do it at all but with this baby it seems to be growing 3x as fast.
  • We discussed this before getting pregnant. I usually keep it trimed but due to selling and noting being able to see I nicked myself last time. My SO has agreed to help me out. It's true love I guess. He also agreed to shave my legs. He has before so I know he can safely. Mine can get crazy wild so it bugs me. I don't care what anyone else thinks it gets itchy and yucky.
  • The only thing blocking my view right now is my boobs! haha but those are easily smushed and moved out of the way for now. If it gets any harder I will definitely be using a mirror to help me out. I am way too self conscious about those kinds of things (don't ask why idk even pap smears make me extremely uncomfortable) Not sure how I am going to handle delivery haha but at least I will have a tame hoo ha  ;)
  • I am plus sized and have never had a great view of down there. I have never had trouble doing it by feel, but haven't been doing it much since getting pg since DH doesn't care and it is winter. However, I do think I might feel weird about having it completely bare for all to see (odd I know, but it is how I feel) and so I might just do a trim. We shall see...I am keeping my options open, haha.

  • Trying to go by feel as best I can, but I informed DH about 2 weeks ago that the days of a perfect landing strip were over for a while. He laughed hysterically, but there is not a snowballs chance in hell I'm letting him near my lady parts with a razor (even though he does his entire head and face by feel alone daily in the shower).

  • Last night I tried to tidy things up with the electric razor and by feel alone. I thought I did a decent job till I looked in the mirror. I would have been better off with hedgers or something, it's horrible!

  • All natural for me. You probably won't even think about it while giving birth lol.
