We definitely will! We found out with our first and I was shocked - for some reason I thought I was having a boy. This time I don't have a feeling yet.
We didn't with our first. But it was a rough dilivery with him being sent to the Nicu and I feel like I missed out not finding out at 20 weeks. At that point it didn't matter. Leaning towards finding out this time!
We are going to find out. Mostly because I can be impatient about things I am excited about and I hate the thought of the doctors knowing and me not knowing. Also, I had a friend where an ultrasound tech slipped and accidently gave a hint that told the sex of the baby. I would hate to have the happen. I figure it will be exciting no matter what!

I am going to be Team Green this time. I found out with DS because I was too excited but I figure not finding out for this one will have a different level of excitement. I'm hoping the time will pass quickly this time since DS keeps me pretty busy.

yes! I need to know We found out with our first 2. I think that if I had a boy and a girl, we might have been team green this time, but I want to know if I need to stock up on boy clothes and decorations and stuff. I think it would be awesome to wait, but I am just too impatient
CP 3/07 BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08. BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09. TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen. BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy. BFP 11/14
We'll be surprised this time, we found out with our first because he was a bit of a surprise haha, came 4 months after our wedding, so we had a lot on our plates and needed to prep! This time though, I want the big surprise. DH doesn't but dammit I win!
Nope, we won't find out. We will be having as few ultrasounds as possible and then want them to be as fast as possible when they are absolutely necessary. No extra time to look around for genitals.
I'm not sure if I will find out. We did with first two so kind of want a suprise this time. Anyone tried the Chinese gender calculater? Predicted my two boys correct and this time I'm predicted a girl.
You have a 50/50 guess on the Chinese calendar, so I wouldn't use that as a reliable source. I found out at 20 weeks, because I was too impatient to wait that long.

We will find out. I think it will be easier with DS understanding what is happening.

I mentioned this in the spreadsheet post, but we're either team green this time or not telling people if we do find out. I like to know ahead of time but I just can't handle all the "your poor DH" or "I'm sorry" comments again if we have another girl. All those comments really upset me with #3.
Sorry to hear you had upsetting comments with #3 Melak728. That's sort of why I don't want to find out. We have 2 boys and I know everyone will be similar to what they said to you.

It's supposed to be the ideal family, I guess. At least one of each sex. But I was never disappointed and it drives me crazy that people expect me to be.
I have to find out. If I don't, no matter what we have it will be in pink. My MIL is anxious for us to be having a little girl and she has a stash of pink items just waiting.
Pregnancy #1 - 2009, lost at 5.5 weeks
Pregnancy #2 - 2011, healthy baby boy
Pregnancy #3 - 2014, blighted ovum, lost at 10 weeks
Yes we will find out the sex!! This is my first pregnancy and we want to find out as soon as possible is order to prepare/pick names/shop! Further down the line with other children we might keep it a secret
We found out for 1 and 2. Went team green for 3. I love being team green, but DH wants to know, I don't. We tried him finding out and me not knowing for #2, but I found the paper that the doctor wrote it on a few days after. So its all or nothing.
We'll find out. We've always picked a boy name and a girl name and then once we found out at the a/s, we used the baby's name for the rest of the pregnancy. I felt like it helped me bond to the babies, and I think it helped the older kids see "the baby in Mommy's belly" as a real person more easily.
Nope. I love spoilers, so this is a good opportunity to practice restraint.
Also, someone mentioned room sharing, and I've seen it mentioned in other forums. Just out of curiosity, is it common practice to seperate male and female children's bedrooms, even when very young? Is this just preference or is there some study? I ask because I shared a room with my brother for the first... 5? 6? 8? years of my life, and in our two bedroom apartment, subsequent children aren't really going to get the choice! Just curious!

Our kids will share a room for a bit, no matter what gender this one is. We bought an old farm house and have remodeled most all of it except the guest room, which will be Paul's room. Until it's done, they will share.
We will be finding out. I love the idea of making it a surprise but we are moving into a new house in May and there is already a very pink bedroom. If it's a girl I won't bother painting, but if it's a boy I want to have the room all ready for him too!
our family consists of myself, my wonderful husband and my 3 sweet step-kiddos.
I am on the fence, we didn't find out with our DD, my husband doesn't really want to with this one, but I kind if do, he said I could know and no one else knows, but I don't want to be the only one that knows. So I guess we will see at the 20 week ultrasound.
