Panera Bread

A group of our local DS group moms meet at Panera once a week.  We meet at Paanera due to other activities of the adult children occurring nearby.  Last time I checked Panera didn't have any thing that was gluten and milk free on the menu for me to eat.  Ideas?  I really don't like to sit there not eating while everyone else is.

Have you looked through their binder that lists all the allergen info for all their items? I haven't looked at their website in a while. Last I knew, it didn't have complete allergen info. Have you tried their salads? I would think one of those would work...?

I'm pretty sure you can get allergen info from their website.  that would be a good place to start.

I would take something to eat, to be honest.  DS has celiac and there are a lot of places we'll take him.  Panera isn't one of them.  As they are a bread company, I just feel the chance of cross contamination is just too high.  I looked at their website once about whether they had GF options, and somewhere on there they actually kind of say that - they make bread.  It's everywhere.

Do not ever eat there bring your own food. I am celiac and tons of my celiac friends stupidly ate there and got violently ill.

I get the Greek salad with grilled chicken and always mention I'm gluten free. I've never gotten sick from that but I don't tempt fate there too often either ;)

Flour stays airborne for 3 hours. Their whole kitchen is contaminated... Stay away.

I usually just get a cup of coffee and enjoy the company. I eat either before or after. Since they use so much flour there is too much risk of cross contamination.
