Haha!! Yeah I read a lot of that train wreck yesterday...it made a crappy work day much better.
It's not a normal tradition but it's happened before. Running to a new board to tell them what to do because you think you're the "big sister" is pretty lame. Defending your actions by pretending that everyone else just needs to get a sense of humor is even worse. Thankfully the Parenting ladies brought their A games and made the thread epic.
ETA: and I don't think June '13 did anything dumb like this. They had a couple of those threads welcoming us and supporting us when we went through so many losses and I thought that was pretty cool.
Yes! June 13 ladies are amazing and I love their pop in support posts. I've lurked around so many boards not just the birth month ones. Each seems to have their own unique tone, which I imagine they establish as they grew. That whole first page was some next level obnoxious.
No, J13 never did that. It's funny because it seemed to go over well on O14, but not on N14. I never remember that from Mar12 either. J13 just brought support which was amazing!
I'm glad I'm not the only one to find that whole thing rather odd. If I was just joining and read that...I'd be afraid to post anything!!! With all the stuff they said not to do...I was like, 'Wait, what's left??' I love our group and I love the pop ins from J13!!
They might as well just say "yes this is a pregnancy board, but no one cares about ANYTHING related to pregnancy so DON'T ASK ANYTHING OR YOU WILL BE FLAMED". What's the point?
Okay, wtf? Someone's hormone levels are out of control. Not sure why they took offense to welcome gifs? Seriously, people need to chill! And the Harry Potter references are over the top. I liked the books for sure, but it's treading into crazy-town.
June '14 September Siggy challenge- Favorite things about fall
I haven't gotten far enough to see if someone calls her out on it, but someone, at the beginning of a post that ends in admonishments to always proofread and know the difference between commonly misused words like your/you're and their/they're/there - MISUSES THEIR.
@chickpea912 - I just bought this little sign from Kohls (actually my husband picked it out for me). Maybe we should post this? LOL
Edit - tag fail
I also cracked up that the one person to quote her thread and add to it, added a gif about the difference between your and you're.... and MISSED the misuse of "their" (it should have been they're)... I gave up too soon to see if anyone else mentioned it.
Also, I still haven't read the thread you linked, but I do remember several of the early posters from N13 having a bit of a stick lodged in some places.
I read until page 7 and then got bored. Why are people so nasty? I thought it was funny, but I guess some ladies felt like they were being dressed down? Almost want to say un-bunch those panties señoritas!

Holy 20some pages of shit show... Everyone needs to unclench. I found it hilarious that the actual BMB members didn't have anything to say/didn't care about it unfolding, though.
And no, I skimmed through pages like.... 13-20some

I mean, I thought the original post was annoying and kind of douchey. Idk. Maybe if I hadn't seen N13 get their panties in a twist over the smallest crap I would think differently.
