DD has the Wubbanub - it's the pacifier connected to a little stuffed animal. I started by snipping the tip of the paci last Thursday and over 3 days cut the whole thing off. I would have gone cold turkey (like we did with DS), but she doesn't have a lovey - wanted her to be able to keep the animal part of the Wubbanub as her lovey. Needless to say, it's not going so well. Several times I've had to stop myself from giving her the backup we have that still has the paci attached (she doesn't know we have it). She is crying herself to sleep at nap and waking up at least twice at night screaming bloody murder. I would let her cry it out at night too, but she is waking DS if I let her go too long. Encouragement? Tips? Ugh...don't know why I waited so long to do this. Kicking myself for not starting sooner.
