After directing a nice lady to the closest gas station from the Babies r us parking lot, she says "oh you're having a boy". I was like "yeah I am actually". "Oh, I know, I'm a psychic." "Oh really, what are the sexes of my other children?" "I'm gonna say you have one girl and at least one other son"
"Haha okay, you got it"
"Oh, and you're gonna go in the next ten days"
" NO, no, no no thank you I don't want to end up in the nicu"

I don't usually worry or put much stock into psychics, but I also don't seek them out for info either. This baby is not allowed to come that early.
So what do you gals think? Am I doomed to go early now?

Could she see in your vehicle for signs of your other kids? She probably is a great guesser.
Don't stress over it....stress isn't good. She seems kinds cooky.

I mean other than seeing it was a mini van, we weren't close enough to see inside. I don't have "family" stickers or bumper stickers of any kind and even if she had checked out behind me, I only bought a drying rack and a milk storage cooler.

I think you're probably safe, unless she sees you again and tries to run you over 8 or 9 days from now to give you stress induced labor.

Oh god with the predictions random strangers have made for me, I wouldn't listen a bit to this woman. After all she's got a 50/50 shot with the sex of the baby!

Well, I guess you'll find out in 10 days! I believe in psychics but not to that degree. Some people are really good at reading people and making very good guesses! Then again, why would a total stranger scare a pregnant woman like that for no reason?

When i was 39 weeks and 6 days with DS, a pediatrician saw me at a hair salon and said i wouldn't be having him for another few weeks.

I had him the next day.

My sister in law had a psychic tell her that she see's twin girls in her future when she is 30. Well when she was 30, I had the twin girls. We both thought that was pretty dang close. The lady never said she was going to have twins just that she saw them in her life when she was 30.

By this standard, the psychic no doubt will the right....someone is going to have a baby in ten days....man I should be charging for this.

I don't believe in psychics etc, however there have been studies done that show if you dwell, or over think on things that you have been told about the future, it can influence life outcomes whether you realize it or not. AKA worrying about what this woman has told you, etc.

That being said, I HIGHLY doubt you go in ten days, and think she is full of shit, however just let it roll off your back. Baby will come when baby wants

my sister knew i was pregnant before I told her. I was 14 days at the time. She told me it was a boy.I knew immediately and was positive about the sex. My parents saw me at 14 days too and knew I was preggers but they didn't want to say anything in case I didn't know yet. When my DH and I went to tell them at 6 weeks my dad told me he already knew and that it was a boy....which was what my sister and I said too. I've been buying boy stuff all along and my DH kept cautioning me not to. Well, it's a boy...I just laughed at him at the ultrasound. I have about an 80% correctness rate in guessing gender for friends too and I've had 3 friends that i knew they were pregnant before they told anyone...and I hadn't seen them first. Some of the psychic stuff is B.S. for sure but...I can't discount my own weird moments and experiences either.
