Im happy to see that the doctors don't seem to think he really has NEC and that he is more himself now... ugh, what a hard thing to have to go through. Im so sorry
Im so glad to read an update. I've been thinking about you both all day. Hang in there. Sounds like he's in great hands! Continued thoughts and prayers being sent your way.
Praying the antibiotics do the trick whether the diagnosis was correct or not so you and Will can get back to bonding bliss. All the best to you during this tough time.

He is getting his central PICC line placed this morning. They do it under anesthesia. I don't know why this is worrying me so much - he's got plenty of anesthesia in his future! I wonder if they gave him anesthesia for his umbilical line? They didn't to remove it, but they placed it before I ever even saw him.
What tallash said, plus depending on the kind of PICC (and how they're going to do the feeds) it could cut down a LOT on other blood draws, which will be super nice. (Though maybe they were already drawing from the umbilical line?)
Are they placing it bedside so you can be nearby? Or OR? I think the OR makes things scarier just by virtue of being the OR.
I was very nervous when my 6mo old went under anesthesia, it sucks giving up control of your precious love bug for someone else to care for. What a rough time for you and the family, you're in my thoughts and prayers.
@babycaps@tallash - they are placing it in the cath lab. It will be one they can draw labs from. He has so many blood draws and he's a really tough draw. So I know it's a good thing. Plus both his IVs are going bad right now so they would have to restick him either way. We are just waiting on him to get called back and he is mad! Haha.
