Brought to you by the woman who went to dinner and a movie (Lego movie -- so funny!) with my husband last night and stayed over in a hotel while her parents stayed at her apartment with the sleep-sucking one. Of course I can't sleep in anymore but I am just enjoying reading stuff on my iPhone this morning before spin.

    Pretty much. I'm glad she mentioned the puppy; we are in the fence about even adding a dog to our family for the same reason we are OAD. We like having extra money and a full nights sleep.

    Maybe it was a glitch, but I really like how every reason was #1. This blog post was pretty awesome.

    I also agree with the puppy. Part of me does want a dog. But the other part of me does not want yet another thing in this house that is almost entirely dependent on me.

    We lost our 14 year old dog in December. We went to look at puppies last weekend. Ds started telling the puppy about his dog who went to live in the sky. I lost it in there. We miss having a dog but like being able to come and go as we'd like and sleeping through the night. Andplusalso, a puppy is a major financial investment. I thing we are going to sit on the idea of a puppy for another year.

    DS says he wants a sibling---I like the part in the article that says "I don't let my child dictate my life."  Exactly.

    Oh yeah, the sleep thing is HUGE.  The money thing is basically a tie with the sleep thing ;-).

    I love it.
    I particularly love: "I feel like at seven, my kid has just started sleeping consistently through the night, and that’s when she’s not sick or having nightmares. The very idea of starting from day one with a screaming baby gives me a case of the vapors so bad that only wine will calm the anxiety. A lot of wine. Thankfully, I can sleep it off."

    Because that is me and my daughter.
