Repeat c-section moms

When are you scheduling yours in relation to your EDD? I'm due 11-15 and was given the option of scheduling 11-12 or 11-16 due to the days that my ob/c usually schedules surgeries. I was surprised that my o/b will schedule me after my EDD.

I will be scheduled the week before my due date. Do you have a birthplan? I have been working on a mixture of them if you would like me to share. If you have one I would be interested in seeing it as well

They told me they usually schedule 7-10 days before due dates. So I'm guessing they will schedule me September 18-21, since I am due Sep. 28th.

I am due August 20 hes doing it August 16th at 1230 pm i was really surprised that they are doing it soooo close to the due date. My DS 1 was 38 weeks, DS2 was 38 weeks but my OB said hospital policies have changed and they want c-sections done as close to the due date as possible.

I'd do it prior to EDD. Going after just scares me for some reason.

a week before im going to try to get it as close to EDD since the longer the baby is in there the better.

Since I am having twins this time, we will be scheduling my C-section (as of now) at around 37 weeks. Obviously a lot could change between now and then, but I am really praying for 37 weeks as that is great for twin gestation.

I am hoping for Oct 14 which is 9 days before my EDD. The NP said they usually will not schedule more than 7 days, which would be Oct 18 because of the weekend. However I went 10 days early with DS, and my mom and MIL bday is the 16/17 so I really am going to bed/plead for Oct 14 no later.

I am already at the point, when I hit 37 weeks, I will be doing ANYTHING possible to get myself into labor because they will not stop it and give me a section!!!

I have decided to do mine at 39 Weeks (Oct 5th, edd is Oct 11th). DH and I also decided IF my body decides to go into labor before then, then I will go ahead with a VBAC. I only made my appointment so the c-section would be my choice this time. I wasn't expecting it with DD, so this way I feel like things are more in my control.

I'll be seeing my doctor on thursday so i'm hoping we will be talking about the c/s. i was 2wks early with DS and this time it's not good for me to go into labor due to a rough labor with DS and i could rupture. I'm hoping it will be at least 2wks early. but we'll see.

I agree, I wouldn't do it after or that close to my EDD, if only for fear that I would go into labor on my own and not get the doctor that I want for the surgery!

Mine is scheduled already, for 12 days before my due date but I don't know why so early...? I have to ask her again (she is hard to understand with her accent!). I would prefer no more than 7 days early. But my EDD is a Sunday so... I dunno what her thinking was....

My OB said they schedule repeat c/s's a week early so I'm due December 1st and my c/s will be around November 24th sometime

Yeah, that's my debate. I REALLY want my dr. to do it as she did it last time and while I wouldn't do it every day of the week and twice on Sunday, I had a really easy recovery and nurses who checked me in the hospital asked me who did my surgery b/c everything looked so good. Plus, I love her personality. She said that the day after my EDD would give me a greater chance of going into labor on my own and trying for a VBAC, but we previously discussed that I'm not a great candidate for a VBAC b/c of my pelvis. Last time I didn't progress; putting rupture aside, I'd be afraid that if I dilated to 10cm, that I woudn't be able to push the baby out and would end up with a c/s.

I'm probably going to go for 11-12. That's a good birthday!

I'm due Sept 29th. My amnio is scheduled for the morning of the 14th and my c/s is scheduled for the 15th. If by chance there is any issues w/ the lungs, we'll do it a few days later but my OB seems to think 38w will be fine.

My doctor said he doesn't schedule them before 39 weeks, so I'm sure sometime that week. I'm comfortable with that since I had my first at 39 weeks.

I am due 11/16 and having a repeat c section...I will scedule at my next appt...

I will be delivering as close to 39 weeks as possible so probibly 11/9 or 11/10. I really want to deliver 11/12 ( day before my b day.. dont want to deliver on my b day as I want baby to have his/her own day) but I had hellp and pre e last pregnancy that started at 39 weeks so they dont want me to go much past that.. I also asked if i could be delivered 11/8 ( ds b day is on the 8th but another month.. i know weird) but she said it was too early as I would be 38 weeks 6 days. That is strange that she would sced you after you due date as you could go into labor.. thats the other issue with me I dont want to go into labor on my own as I am 45 min from the hospital!

I will hopefully be having a VBAC, but my OB and I have discssed induction and c/s if it comes to that. My edd is 9/22 and I will either be induced (or have a RCS if I'm not favorable for induction) on 9/28. My OB was willing to wait until 9/30, but DS' birthday is 10/2 and I want to be home for his birthday.

I'm due 10/12 and my c-section is scheduled for 10-6. I will be 39 weeks. My OB said it's b/c they want to do the surgery before you go into labor on your own. Now, my DS came at 36 weeks, so we shall see...
