Can you recommend a good sock for under the pneumatic compression devices?

Hi All, I tried to search for this but couldn't find much.  I'll be going for my second c-section on May 5th and I remember from the first one that my legs were really itchy and sweaty under the pneumatic compression devices that I had to wear on my legs after surgery.  Can anyone recommend a good, long, sock that will help with that?  I would love to have a more comfortable experience this time.

Well, I have some cute long socks that I wear all the time from Target. They hit me about 4 inches down from my knee (I'm 5'7), and I paid about $3 for each pair.  But in the hospital, I usually just wear those blue, two-sided socks they put on you.

I just wore thin cotton pj pants and had them on over those. Of course the first night I was in a gown but was still numb from the spinal so couldn't feel the sweat anyway.

I had to wear the TED hose/stockings under mine, provided by the hospital.

I was itchy from the anesthesia so I don't think socks would have made a difference. I was also so hot that first night that another layer on my legs would have made things worse.

Thanks all, I wasn't even thinking about the anesthesia causing the itching but that makes sense.  I just don't remember itching anywhere else but my legs.  Was hoping someone had a miracle sock they could recommend to make that part more comfortable!

My face is where I'm itchiest so I've never worn socks with the compression devices.
