Freaking out!
LO has been projectile vomiting today. Three times, twice in a row. Poor thing is starving but vomits immediately after a feeding.
He's so exhausted and starving and it's breaking my heart I just want to hold him and cry but trying to keep it together.
Doctor thinks it's pyloric stenosis which requires surgery so we're headed in for an ultrasound right now.
His tired little hungry face is KILLING ME.

Update: so we got to a PACKED ER with a 3 hour wait. We settled in for a long wait and panicked because LO hasn't had shots yet. We sat in the corner. Like 5 mins later we got called back. Apparently, a guy DH went to HS with is a nurse there and he saw LO's name (same as DH) and figured it had to be his buddy from HS's son and got us pushed to priority one. We got called back ahead of everyone else. DH hasn't even seen him since 2000.
So the doctor checked him out and doesn't think that's what it is thankfully. He thinks the on call overreacted (ugh). Says that we can do outpatient ultrasound to check but they don't do that US at night. It usually presents by 4-5wks and LO is 7.
We will follow up with our pedi tomorrow. Thanks for all of the T&P!! LO did keep down a bottle of pedialyte at the hospital and some BM. Probably all related to reflux.
Update 2: went to pedi today. She wasn't convinced that it wasn't stenosis so we got sent to the hospital for an ultrasound. The tech said it looked normal to her but still waiting to hear from doc. So the good news is that per the tech it doesn't look like stenosis. The bad news is that means we don't know what it is. Dr said possibly something anatomical with his esophagus?
Also woke up with a raging clogged duct today (which LO has kicked like 10 times) and realized I was supposed to do something for work that is time intensive and the clients are coming in to sign it tomorrow at 9am. So whoever asked if I could catch a break already the universe has responded with a resounding NO. Thanks again for all of the positivity! I really appreciate it!!xoxo

If baby was showing dehydration signs and he wanted you to go in for fluids, that's one thing. But to send you to an ER for a scan that needs to be done during regular hours? That's not okay.
