Nanny drama

Ok.....I am really stressing out. Our nanny had decided that she can't handle our daughter and her son and is going to leave. She has agreed to stay until I can find someone, but it is really stressful. We have a pnp downstairs in our room for LO and she's been putting her son in it to nap. Well, she got upset when I told her not to and then did it anyway. I'm so torn. I need her to stay until I can find someone, but I am paying her to do what I want and shes not doing it. Ugh!!!

I'm also curious, at first I was thinking a RnP so I thought maybe your son was older and too big for it. But a PnP seems like NBD in my opinion. I think I would feel offended as well if someone told me that my child couldn't use something and there was really no reason. But maybe you have a valid reason?

Ok, I did not leave to not reply..... i went to meet a possible new nanny and interview her. Now that I'm home.....holy cow people. It's not that I care that her kid sleeps in our pnp, its that my child, who I am paying her to keep can't nap in it while he's in it. She's even afraid to go into the room while her kid naps so she doesn't have any of LO's clothes or diapers or anything. It's just not right. Plus my DH came home one day and did not like what he saw. She told me Tuesday that she couldn't rock LO to sleep because she had to chase her kid around.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that she has to put LO's bouncer away so her son doesnt clinb in it and has to take the seat out of the exceesaucer because she can't keep her kid from climbing in it. Thats just crazy to me.

I'm with @crunchymama11, it's probably best that she is telling you she can't handle it. However, I feel like there are a lot of important details that you're leaving out for one reason or another. Either way, I hope you can find someone that can provide the care you're looking for.

Also, didn't you kind of sign up for this when you knew the nanny was bringing her own child? Do you expect the child to sit in a corner and do nothing / not have her watch him too?

So essentially from the info given, she has to baby proof your house to keep her child from getting hurt or breaking your lo's stuff. Good luck finding another nanny. I'd suggest not hiring one that has to bring their child with them.

Yeah. What did you expect? Do you not know what kids are like? Did you expect her to neglect her child? Would you prefer her child to break your baby stuff?

OP, I would quit if I was your nanny too. Your expectations are unreasonable. She has to take care of both children. If that doesn't work for you then I would suggest a nanny who can devote all their time to your child.

Ok seriously! I knew what to expect with a toddler in the house. I've been around kids all my life. I honestly don't think she knew what to expect and I don't think her child listens to her. I don't know what happened the day my DH came home early, he wouldn't tell me because he knew it would make it upset. I don't have unreasonable expectations. I only expect that what I ask for is done. I am paying her to watch my child. I know that I need a childless nanny and that's what we are looking for. I just came on here to vent.....clearly a mistake. Thanks ladies

If my husband saw something "he didn't like" but wouldn't tell me AND that woman was still watching my kid I would be a mess. I would need to know because I would need to know if my child was in danger.

I do think it is nice of your current nanny to stay on until you find a new one.

If she was that bad, why are you upset she is leaving? You should've been looking for other nannies and ready to fire her. But she is leaving you?

Also, the whole DH seeing something isn't true. There is no way that happened and he is ok not telling you and you are ok with not hearing it.

Who doesn't want to know what's happening to their child while someone else is watching them.
