3rd beta in & u/s WWYD?

Beta #3 at 18 DPO was 1,744. So, almost perfect 48 hour doubling! I'm starting to think maybe this is actually happening. I'm in disbelief that my numbers are this good! Don't they seem a little high? (All 3 betas in my sig.)

My 1st ultrasound will be on Jan. 6th at 6w3d. They wanted me to come in on Jan. 2nd at 5w6d (they think I'm one day ahead of what I am though). Would you go in early with the possibility of not seeing a heartbeat yet? I had a blighted ovum with my first PG, so I'm really freaked out about the u/s. Also, DH can't make it for the u/s on the 2nd and I'd really like him to be there but he can come on the 6th. WWYD?

    I think your betas are good.  Here are mine:

    I went for my first u/s at 7w1d and saw a HB.  Maybe make it for the 6th so that your H can be with you and so that you're a little further along.  That's whatI would opt for.

    just go for the later appointment. You seem more comfortable with that one, too. It's only a difference of a few days, but you might be more comfortable with DH there and giving the baby longer to get big enough to see something. Hope it goes well!

    I didn't have my first ultrasound until 9 weeks. I think going in on the 6th gives your little one to grow strong and have a great hb. That's what I would do.

    My beta at 17dpo was 1,121, so yours aren't super high. No worries.

    My first pg was also a b/o, so I understand the concern over the u/s. My first u/s was at 6w6d and it was perfect. I definitely say take the later date for peace of mind, and for the fact that DH can be there with you. My DH got teary when we finally saw that little blob on the screen - it was a special moment for both of us and I think he'd want to share in it with you!

    I just had my US yesterday and HB was able to be heard and seen on US at 5w6d. HTH

    WOW I'm almost right along with you. I had IUI on 12/8 and first beta on 12/22, my RE only does Beta once a week. They told me I would probably have US around 1/8 just a little over 6 weeks.

    I am soo nervous after our loss, my OB said I would be high risk and that is freaking me out.

     I would change appt so your hubby can be with you, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

    I would wait til the 6th.  This way DH will be right by your side and you will get to see a better picture

    I agree with pp' s to go in for later u/s. I had slow doubling betas, so RE wanted me to come in at 5w2d. Well, he only saw an empty sac and prepared me for gloom and doom (basically said I had very little chance of viable pg). I came in again at 5w5d and he saw a fetal pole and yolk sac, and said that the next step was to confirm hb after 6wks or so. He never even admitted that perhaps he was "mistaken" with the first u/s. I was so ticked at him, I just went to my OB for the hb check. 

    SO, in hindsight, I wish I hadn't gone in for the early u/s. Would have saved me  3 days of anxiety and $80 worth of copays!!!  :)
