What are you wearing?

image

No, but really. How far along are you and...have you switched over completely to maternity clothes? Does anything still fit? Are you wearing belly bands or button loops around your regular jeans? Today I pulled everything out of my closet that I won't wear or won't fit for the next 4ish months because my closet is a mess anyway and I need to organize it/see what I need. It looks half empty now (I have a lot of dresses I only wear on stage, so that is partly why, then of course button up shirts that won't button, etc). I bought some maternity shirts/sweaters I've only just started wearing, the full panel jeans I got from Target still don't stay up but I have to unbutton my regular jeans at my desk.

Just wondering how it's working out for you all at this stage.

  • I'm 25 weeks along, and FULLY in maternity gear. I have some pre-preg tanks, cardigans and sweaters that are big enough I can "sort of" still wear, but they definitely don't fit over these monster boobies and belly perfectly.

I wear a lot of leggings-based outfits, and have a couple pairs of maternity jeans from Gap that work well for me. I've purchased a bunch of tops and sweaters from ASOS and Zulilly, but am trying hard to buy things that aren't so maternity-obvious that they'll get packed away after I (fingers crossed) get some of my body back post baby. I pretty much have lived this winter in boots, leggings, long cotton tunics and cardigans. It's like wearing PJs all day - I win!

I also just packed away a bunch of stuff that is not going to fit me for a while... feeling sad about how empty my closet is, but it was too stressful trying on a million things every day trying to figure out what still fit!

  • My pants are all maternity (all three pairs that I rotate), but my shirts are about half and half.  Some of my regular shirts still fit, but my maternity ones are definitely my go to's at this point.  Although I did go out to Target this past weekend and buy five regular T-shirts in the XL size because all my maternity shirts were long sleeved and sweaters and it has been 80 degrees here recently.  I've been trying to buy as many things as possible that I will be able to wear later on (even if they just end up being workout/clean the house T's).

  • I am 100% in mat pants and have been since about 11-12 weeks. STM.

Lots of my regular tops still fit but I only like to wear tops that are tight since the look is more "pregnant" than "chubby".

My favorite look right now is leggings/dress with a belt under the boobs. Mostly wearing non-maternity dresses, summer maxi dresses etc.

Also jeans with tshirts and cardi-wraps, but it's been 80 so not much of that going on.

I've been wearing my "fat pants" (a size up from pre-preg) for a couple months now, and only just had to start looping an elastic in the button over the last couple weeks. I can still wear my pre-preg pants but cant button them comfortably, I can still button my "fat pants" but it makes my tummy look weird since its tight.

I'm picking up a belly band tomorrow, and the butt and legs on my jeans still fit so I'll probably just keep wearing them.

Top-wise, my sister handed down a few of her mat tops, I had a few leftover from last time and I definitely prefer them over my pre-preg shirts. I wear a lot of sweaters and hubby's shirts when I'm lounging at home, but I can still pull off some of my baggier pre-preg shirts with a cami underneath to cover the bottom of my bump, lol.

    Edit: I'm 25 weeks

  • Undergarments: I had two bras that always seemed a little big, I am only able to wear those right now just because of the band (I don't think I've changed cup size). I bought some maternity undies I may want to wear soonish, I thought they might be stupid but some of my underwear seems to be rolling down or just fitting weird, so hoping the maternity undies will help and were not a waste of money.

  • This week I started with maternity pants.  Until then, "fat pants" were keeping me covered.  I go back and forth with tops.

The rubber band idea crossed my mind, but I just wasn't comfortable with it.  If I break down and buy a belly band, I may consider it.

  • I'm still about 75% in normal clothes.  I do have 2 pairs of maternity pants and a couple maternity shirts, but for the most part, my pre-preg clothes still fit.  I do have to use the bellaband with my normal pants though, and have to pick through my tops to find ones long enough to cover the bump, but I really just started really looking pregnant the last 4-5 weeks or so and it's an awkward season to try to find maternity clothes, so I'm trying to hold out.

I do have a pair of maternity capris and shorts on order though.  I may order a few more from Zulily today since they have some shorts and stuff on there finally.
  • I have been in full maternity clothes for a while, but only because I was given literally 4 HUGE bins full of clothes from a friend. I started wearing mat pants exclusively around 13 weeks (I'm 22 weeks tomorrow) and I wear mat tops about 80% of the time. I still have a couple stretchy shirts I can squeeze into when I'm hanging out at home, or I will wear regular t-shirts if I'm painting or something like that.

  • I've been in maternity pants since around 12 weeks, although some of my roomier workout pants are my at-home uniform.  Tops are a mix; I'm still finding some of my longer regular size tops fit better than maternity tops I've purchased--maternity sizing seems crazy inconsistent to me.  With twins I'm a little worried I'll run out of length on all my shirts, so hopefully it'll warm up soon so I can wear dresses to carry me through that stage.
  • Pants are all either maternity or yoga/sweats/leggings. Technically I could still wear my regular jeans with a rubber band but it's just not that comfortable so why even try.
I'm still wearing mostly regular shirts though. I feel like I still don't have enough belly for all the ruching on the sides. All that extra fabric just hangs there and looks silly to me.

  • Maternity jeans and shirts, oversized sweatpants, tees and sweatshirts. I needed to wear maternity clothes at 12 weeks or so..
  • Almost all maternity clothes.  The only pre-pregnancy pants I can wear are sweats, everything else is maternity.  I pretty much only wear maternity tops.  I can still wear most of my cardigans and jackets (less than half of them button or zip though).

I'm 24 weeks FTM and have been wearing almost all maternity since ~18 weeks.  I mostly switched over to completely maternity because they're comfy and made me look like I actually had a bump!

I'm 25 weeks. Other than jeans I'm still in my pre-preg pants. But I tend towards looser styles with elastic waists anyway (these are my favs) so have just been wearing them low on my hips. I've got 1 pair of maternity jeans that I wear sometimes in the weekends.

Up till a week ago I was still squeezing into some of my pre-preg tops but it was starting to look a bit trailer park so I've transitioned totally to maternity tops now. So much more comfy and no belly threatening to poke out the bottom!

I need to go shopping for some cheap workout tops. I also had to buy more undies cos I am literally changing mine 3 x a day right now.

I'm hoping to avoid buying a jacket. The only one that fits me is just starting to get a little firm around the belly but it probably wont warm up in Seattle for at least another 6-8 weeks... its a race: my belly against the seasons!
  • Things that still fit from my regular clothes:
    - yoga pants
    - sweat pants
    - socks
    - knickers
    - work uniforms (with larger tops)
    - pj pants and shorts
Things that I still wear but look absurd in:
    - tshirts
    - undershirts
    - pj tops
I'm almost exclusively wearing maternity clothes. I like my new jeans too much to attempt trying to fit into regular ones with the belly band.

  • All maternity all the time. 24 weeks and STM. I still wear some non maternity tanks, shirts, and dresses.

Although I have been having a really hard time finding maternity jeans that are comfortable. They are either too loose or the waist band sits at a weird spot.
  • Ive been in maternity jeans since about 10 weeks. I outgrew the last of my pre-pregnancy shirts around 16 weeks, but I was in maternity most of the time on top from about 12 weeks.

I've still got some stretchy yoga pants that will last the whole pregnancy, along with one overly stretchy skirt that will make it to the end. I think within the next week or so I'll have to retire the rest of my skirts and all of my dresses are put away now as well unless I get maternity tights.

    I'm 23 weeks.

  • I changed to maternity jeans a few weeks ago, so much more comfortable than the belly bands at this point. My shirts are about 50/50. Starting to drift more into maternity more often. I still wear a couple pre prego maxi dresses.
    23weeks
  • All maternity pants (except gym pants and sweatpants!) but this weekend, I'll be wearing a maternity top for the first time!! A lot of my regular tops still work, but I do find that the maternity clothing seems to actually be more slimming and the non-maternity is a bit frumpy!
  • I can still wear many of my regular shirts (although I mostly wear maternity for the length!) but I've been in maternity pants for a while.
  • 21 weeks FTM and wearing a mix. Strictly maternity jeans which I'm loving but still uncomfortably in my regular work pants. Going to get two pair if maternity work pants hemmed today so I can start wearing ASAP. Many regular shirts still wearable but I like the comfort and fit of my maternity tops, just need more. Still in standard workout clothes but those are stretchier than other fabrics so will be able to longer. Can't wait for it to warm up so I can wear dresses.
  • Mia081081 - 80 degrees? Really!? I'm near Boston and completely jealous!!

I've been in pretty much all maternity clothes since about 12 weeks. I gained some weight right before I got pg, so my clothes were already tight, plus as a STM I popped pretty early. When i'm at home I still wear my favorite sweats which are non-maternity, and I have a couple long tunics I can get away with, but otherwise 100% maternity.

Pretty much all maternity clothes now, save the exception of leggings, yoga pants, workout capris, dresses and skirts (those w/elastic waist, ponte, maxi, etc), cardigans, jackets, blazers, coats, and some of my looser, more flowy tops and blouses.

I have yet to wear my size M mat pants from previous pregnancies- had to get size smalls (or 4) this time around.  I'm assuming the time will come towards the end when my size M stuff fits but right now it all looks like pajamas- too big.

  • I am 98% in maternity cloths and I'm 23 weeks.  I can still wear cardigans and loser shirts, also all my sweatpants still fit, which is all I wear at home.  I have actually started wearing my husbands gym shirts to the gym because I can't find any gym cloths that don't suck...he doesn't seem to mind, at least for now.  Also, am I the only person in the world who hates maternity jeans??  I find them so uncomfortable and can't wait to be back in my old ones!

I have been in maternity pants since like 8 weeks lol but can still wear most of my shirts... They are just real tight lol
  • I am 26 weeks, I can't wear any of my old jeans/pants anymore. But I can get away with some of my lose tops. Not for long tho.
  • I'm 22 weeks and have been in maternity pants since 10-12 weeks because of major bloat. My longer and looser shirts still fit but not for long!
I love the leggings but I prefer my ass and crotch to be covered by a long shirt/tunic.

I'm having an issue with my bras digging into my ribs. I'm pretty short and compact so I don't have any rooms between my massive boobs and my belly. My ribs are sore. I'm due for much bigger bras.

I am very excited that some of my Summer clothes still fit and I can wear them on vaca. That being said I'm really looking forward to maxi dresses and skirts coming into season soon!!!
  • I've been in maternity jeans since about 9-10 weeks (ordered at 8 weeks since the belly band = crap). I switched to maternity shirts about 20 weeks since the regular shirts are riding pretty high now.

At home, I wear jammies and mumus and let it alllll hang out. Lucky DH!

I LOVE my maternity underwear! It fits so comfortably and there's no weirdness like with regular undies.

  • I have worn all maternity pants since like 10 weeks (except for leggings/pj pants) and mostly maternity shirts, unless they are big and long.  I still have some non-maternity dresses, but they are all stretchy and flowey.  I don't know if I will ever see normal jeans again!

  • I'm almost 22 wks and wear my work dresses during the week and maternity jeggings the weekends. Only have 2 pairs of maternity pants for work and trying to hold off wearing them as much as possible to not get tired of them! Still normal tops.
  • Maternity clothes anytime I leave the house, with the exception of yoga pants.

Popping out of my old tank tops and sweats when I'm home.

  • 25 weeks, and I'm about 25% maternity and 75% non-maternity. To be fair, while the majority of my professional wardrobe is non-maternity, I sized up or bought wrap dresses. I still wear most of my tops, but I prefer the longer ones.

I am in love with maternity jeans and skirts, so I'm thinking I should just give in and go full maternity.
