Hey ladies, I'm joining you today after getting my CH this morning! Congrats to the BFPs! FX for some more!
Cycle/Month: 2/2
CD/DPO: 18/3
Timing: Pretty good...-4,-2,O,+1
Testing plans: I'm a "don't test until after AF is late" kinda person, but I know it gets harder the closer you get! We'll see what happens.
Rants/Phantom Symptoms/Chart Stalks: Nothing, although I temped twice today (I know that's a no no!). I woke up so many times through the night, so I don't know if either temp is accurate! Oh well, I still got my CHs and they were for when I thought O was, so I'll take it.
GTKY:
What is one thing you see current parents doing and you tell yourself
'I am not going to do that when I have a kid(s)'? Like others have said, I know not to say never as a parent...sometime you just have to do what you have to do. Although, I do feel very strongly about how much technology kids are exposed to today. I definitely want to put limits on how much my kids are exposed to. I want them to be able to wonder and think about things, and not just run straight to Google. I want them to be able to have a face to face conversation and not have their noses in a phone. I want them to notice and enjoy the world around them without distractions. I think technology is good, and it has it's purposes and usefulness in our lives, but I think for kids especially it should be limited and controlled by parents.
Congratulations to all the ladies with bfp's today! How exciting
Me (30) DH (31) Married 5/13, TTC since 2/13 BFP #1 Blighted Ovum resulting in D&C on 11/1/13 BFP #2 Ectopic Pg, lap surgery on 3/12/14, R tube removed
I'm going to post my update here instead of a new post. Tested last night with a digital and confirmed the Bfp I got yesterday morning.
Cycle: 5
CD/DPO: 28/12
What we did: every other day since cd 12
Symptoms: the level of swollen boobs I only experienced while on birth control. My face was breaking out like I was in middle school but 10 times worse. You could play connect the dots and concealer didn't work.
How I told DH: I wanted to give him a "daddy's pit crew" onesie since he races motorcycles but it wouldn't get here until end of next week. So I bought a little whale rattle from target and put it next to the digital hpt. DH was at the gym while I was setting up. When he came home, I told him I had a present from him. At first he didn't understand what I was telling him then reality set in. I took a picture of his reaction but it was blurry. He was shocked but he didn't expect us to get pregnant so fast.
Mushy stuff: I would like to thank you for everything! I have learned so much from everyone. Im still going to be lurking this board and may post from time to time.
Rants/Phantom Symptoms/Chart Stalks: I am not sure I really believe I ovulated based on the CH FF gave me, but I want to hang out here anyway.
GTKY: What is one thing you see current parents doing and you tell yourself 'I am not going to do that when I have a kid(s)'? Right now the thing that comes to mind is judging other parents or becoming a mompetitior. That's an example I don't want to set for my kids (although I'm sure I will occasionally stumble).
I'm bummed because for some reason only page 2 of this thread is "blocked" at work, and I can't see the super dark BFP you all are talking about. Sad face.
Congrats to all the BFPs!
For those who tested and got BFNs, I know it's no consolation today, but 10dpo really is super early. Good luck when you test again.
Cycle/Month: 2nd cycle since m/c, 6 months overall
CD/DPO: 34/7
Timing: O -3, O -1
Testing plans: next week sometime
Rants/Phantom Symptoms/Chart Stalks: Nothing, but I never had symptoms with either of my prior pregnancies so it's neutral.
GTKY: What is one thing you see current parents doing and you tell yourself 'I am not going to do that when I have a kid(s)'? "I will never" & "My kid will never" = Famous last words! Though one thing I will say that really makes me side-eye every time is when I see parents giving little kids soda pop. IMO, if your kid needs a sippycup to drink, they don't need soda pop. Even worse, I saw some BBC show a few years back about parents feeding their kids horrible food (it was one of those "food intervention" shows), and one mom was putting soda pop in her baby's bottle. So yeah, soda pop in a bottle or sippycup is one of my "I'll never" things that is easy to keep up.
Congrats to all the BFP's! I love reading the stories.
Cycle/Month: -3
CD/DPO: CD19, 3 DPO
Timing: TTA...
Testing plans: None.
Rants/Phantom Symptoms/Chart Stalks: I have a dumb rant. It's a rant at myself. We're sort of TTA for now (which is why we pull out), and yet, after getting the crosshairs today that confirm we didn't have sex in the three days leading up to O, I was super bummed that there would be no tiny percent chance of maybe getting pregnant. This is stupid. H saw I was bummed and suggested we rethink the reasons for TTA (since they are a bit dodgy) and possibly move up our TTC start date. We may do that. But in the meantime I think it's ridiculous I would be sad over an unlikely BFP month when we are TRYING TO AVOID. Oh well.
GTKY: What is one thing you see current parents doing and you tell yourself 'I am not going to do that when I have a kid(s)'? Not sure I have something I see others doing, but I see myself acting a certain way and try to tell myself I can't do that when I have kids. Mainly, I can be overly critical. So I hope I don't carry that into motherhood.
Update!! I posted earlier that my test was probably a BFN with a evap line on a wondfo. I was all sad and disappointed about my test this morning. And very confused... I think I saw a line... did I see a line? So while I was at CVS to get something else, I thought what the heck and I bought a digi and here it is....
YAY for a BFP. I will be cautious for the next couple of days as AF is dated to arrive on Monday. But I'm hoping that everything is all well. I'm really excited for this pregnancy and this little one. And to give our son a brother or a sister. DH and I talked this morning (he's away on business) and I told him that I probably was not pregnant... he was sad but encouraging. So when I got the results from this test I sent him and picture and said "I guess I was wrong. We're pregnant!. Wooo Hooo" I have lurked on this board for a long time, but only have posted for the last 2 months. I really appreciate the support and encouragement that you ladies offered me and one another. I loved reading all your posts and laughed out loud many times a day. I wish you all nothing but the best and all BFPs.

@lissydee Yes. FF has be at 10dpo today. However, I must tell you that at first FF had me O on CD 13 which would make me at 12dpo today and then FF changed it a couple days later to CD 15 which made me at 10dpo today. But I saw your pic before and it does look like the one I got yesterday and today... but I wasn't sure it was a BFP because it took so dang long to show.

@lissydee when I used the digi instead of putting it in the stream... I dipped it instead. I wasn't taking any chances of missing.

@lissydee Woo Hoo for a BFP! Congrats! So glad you took the chance on the digi and that we're twinsies. haha
@RayRay007 Thank you! Your bit of hope you gave me this morning gave me the urge to buy the digi.

Geeeeesh! LURKING and loving! You guys rock. Congrats to all of the BFP's, I am unbelievably happy for each and every one of you. Here's to a H&H 9 months!!!
@yellowbag I'm not convinced you O'ed either, but you should definitely hang out here and play!
Cycle/Month: 10
CD/DPO: 21/8
Timing: -1, O
Testing plans: probably Tuesday, if no AF
Rants/Phantom Symptoms/Chart Stalks: I have a slight cold, and a raging yeast infection. Fun. Also, my boobs are officially the most giant they've ever been. I think I may need to buy a new bra a size up, because my current D cups are not corralling the ladies well at all. I had a very obvious "you can totally see her nipples under her shirt" moment last night, because my shirt canons just will not be contained.
GTKY: What is one thing you see current parents doing and you tell yourself 'I am not going to do that when I have a kid(s)'? : I just hope I can strike a good balance with technology. I hate to see kids so absorbed in their gameboys and iPads that they never get outside or use their large motor skills. I think it's important that technology be in our home on our terms, so our kids learn a healthy relationship with it, but I don't ever want a modern Mike TV (the bratty kid from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory who just watched TV all day) on our hands.
Congrats to all of today's bfps! Happy for all of you!
Cycle/Month: 4

Testing plans: Monday?
Rants/Phantom Symptoms/Chart Stalks: I had a huge uncharacteristic temp spike this morning which I can't help but obsess over. Im going out of town this weekend so I probably won't be posting until Monday. My temp is usually on the decline after 8dpo so these next couple days will be telling me whether ill be testing Monday or not.
GTKY: What is one thing you see current parents doing and you tell yourself 'I am not going to do that when I have a kid(s)'? Manners in general. Please and thank you go a long way.
We're welcoming a girlto our family--Audrey Kay!
