We call DD and this baby Maynard. My mom used to call all us kids that when we were being silly. So it's just stuck around. DH, my mom, and I are the only ones who do it though. Other then that DD just goes by Mimi.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to call this baby Churro until the day I die.
We don't have a nn for LO yet, but I'm positive it will come - DH and I rarely call each other our real names!
My dad still calls me Chunk from my rolly baby days - sometimes Chunk Anne is he feels like throwing in my middle name - and I'm 25 years old. He'll say it in public and I hardly even realize it until someone points it out!
June Siggy Challenge: Dad Fails
Married 7.28.2012 DD born 7.27.2014 BFP 09.2015 - m/c 10.21.2015
I doubt I'm going to call my child Cashew after they are born. DH and I have jokingly said if it's a boy we can name him Cash after Johnny Cash. :P
My step grandmother's given name was Myrtle, but everyone called her Tuggie. To this day I don't know why.
All NNs for me have revolved mostly around my name: Katie Belle, Katydid.......oh and my dad called me Jack Rabbit because apparently I was hyper and jumped all over the place and I was Sista to my brother's Bubba.
We called DD Peanut or Ninja Baby (once she started trying to break my ribs with her kicks)when she was an inside baby. Since she's been born we don't call her either of those nicknames anymore but she has several now: Squeak/Squeaks (she made little squeaky noises in her sleep as a newborn), Mouse (for the same reasons), Monster (when she's being well... a monster), and Munchkin (she's a tiny girl who takes after me in that respect and I was called munchkin as a kid) as well as the shorter version of her name Ains (Ainsleigh).
So far we just call this LO baby boy or baby brother and I've also used wiggle worm once he started moving around in there.
I have a friend in her 20s and she's still "peanut" to her family. I personally hate it. Once we find out gender we use the baby's name. Even if we use a cute nn it's only every now and again and usually just between DH & I never spread throughout family.
My DD is Haley and dressed as a ladybug for Halloween when she was 2. Aunt & cousins that we went trick-or-treating with that year said she was a "Haley-Bug", and we/they have called her Bug ever since!
With my first I was due in June so I always referred to her as Junebug and still do write often. I also have a friend that called her LO squishy and lots of people call her that now, I'm not really a fan though
